It is always easy to say "it is a hype" or anything else…
people like me who are familiar with pete's releases will be happy to pay the price, because they know the value and quality of pete's material. and as I am saying this, I am not hyping anything. I just say that I am a happy customer and know what I am getting for that price. if you don't want to buy it, than don't buy it. that' fine… but as Galileo said… it is Pete's decision how he wants to release his books. and I think there is nothing wrong with that... |

Who am I to tell peter to put a high price tag on this release? You say I am no magician helping magicians? I politly disagree because I am helping everyone who puts up the cash to learn these secrets. I believe the higher the price tag the more protected a secret is. I don't want to spend my hard earned money and have some brat give the secret away on youtube. I don't want to spend my money and have everyone doing the same routine I am doing. You suggest I am doing wrong by telling peter to raise the price....i say I'm protecting peoples investment. Im sorry you don't see that. I stand behind everything I said about Peter's work. |

Whatever the price is they will all chip in and buy it and put it on youtube or scan it.

I generally don't pre order. That is my right. I have no problem pre ordering any of Peter's material because he has always exceeded my expectations.

Peter is free to charge whatever he wants for his work. He knows, for the little it's worth, that I think he is the most naturally talented thinker among the latest generation of mentalists. But a Café member coming on here to proudly tell us they raced onto the phone to convince Peter to put up the price of his latest release is, again only in my own opinion, absurd. But I apologise to Peter for derailing his thread. If his latest work contains material equal to his best work it will be invaluable. I would just ask him to consider possibly sharing some more work in future at a lower price point to help less wealthy mentalists. I'm sure he is aware how inspiring his penguin lecture has been to a host of younger enthusiasts. |

I won't speak to the price point of Peter's work (his work is worth whatever people will continually pay for it), but I have to agree with the Martin's words about the Penguin Lecture. It was a kickstart for me in terms of frame of mind. Peter's in a great spot. He's young. He's talented. He's got energy. He creates. He's got our attention. If he is able to maintain the marathon approach (vs the sprint) and stick with this for the next ten years, I can only imagine what he will be creating in 10 years. I personally am going to enjoy watching and participating with his career. And if he can do this and still be as generous with his time and encouragement as I have personally seen, then I hope he makes enough money in mentalism to feed his family and live a full life so that we can all have a blast watching him do what he does best.
Maybe he will consider another lecture in the next year so that more people can have an affordable opportunity to get the exposure to his thinking and approach.

I don't mean to nitpick and derail the thread again but it really upsets me when I see comments like "I can only imagine what he will be creating in 10 years"
Pete is creating incredible effects at the minute. Whenever I catch up with him on Skype he always makes my jaw hit the floor with another genuis idea of his, so why does it matter that he is "young"? Sure everyone gains with experience but Pete is already creating incredible material now. I see comments like this directed not only at Pete but myself and others all the time and I find it really patronizing. Who cares how old a performer is, as long as their ideas are unique, original, and creative then it doesn't matter does it? Sorry for derailing the thread again I just really felt like I had to make that point |

Yes, no patronizing at all. I meant it as the highest compliment that he has achieved so much so early. Being an educator, I love it when the younger ones prove that we teachers don't know everything!

Just because he is young doesn't mean that his material doesn't have value. Age doesn't mean anything if you provide great value to others. I think Pete should maintain the high prices on his material.

I had a long Skype session with Peter today and he showed me some of the things from this upcoming release. At several points I could not keep the grin off my face. I ordered it the first day it was announced and whenever it does come out I'm 100% positive it will have been worth the wait. Thanks for sharing, Pete.

Hey guys just a quick note to everyone, the book is on track I added one or two things into the deluxe edition and a few stories as well. The proof reader had a loss in the family (I can't go into detail as it is a private affair as I am sure you can appreciate) and that delayed things very slightly I promise the day the books go off to the printer I will inform everyone and the copies will start to fly out from there
If anyone has any queries I am always reachable at peterturnermind@hotmail.co.uk I might take a little bit to get back to you, because of the amount of mail/ work but I always get back. Alternatively if you have placed an order I am reachable on skype Devioust123 And can answer any questions there. Preston thank you for the cool words you are real gent x |
