My new promo video, it does contain a lot of swearing due to spectators reacting. My apologies for this for those who are easily offended by such.

Hi Mate, I have a few pointers for you. I am by no mean the expert but I always think its nice to get some feedback from wherever!
Firstly you have some great reactions there, they look fantastic you have some good audience members and the film shows them loving what you do. that's a positive. If it was me I would get rid of the swearing quotation, I don't think you need them. It will offend some potential clients, for instance if you are wanting to nook high end weddings or corporate gigs. If you are aiming purley at the nightclub market (which is limited) then it wouldn't matter so much. There is another way you could get the swearing bleeped out. Also for me this is too long, they say the best time for a promo is actually about 40 seconds as that's when people get bored and move on. I would aim for 2min 20seconds ish. You could maybe look at using some transitions between the clips, photos or quotations. and final pointer, it is always good to show footage from a few gigs, could you get some from another venue, where you are wearing something else? If you did that yourself well done, I hope that was helpful. here is my promo, like I say I'm not expert but I have managed to secure some great gigs from this. http://youtu.be/ndTP_57hfKE |

I think you did a good job with this. I'm considering getting a DSLR for filming my own promo soon and this gave me some ideas. My only qualm with this is that the audio is poor - you really need an external microphone to block out most of the background noise. Now, as far as the performance itself goes, you certainly got some nice reactions. But I agree with TheTableTopTrixta in saying that a shorter, more eye-grabbing trailer would be better. All-in-all, though, it certainly isn't "bad."
