Bairn represents almost everything I have created over the past 9 years, since releasing my very first collection of routines. Every routine has been tried and tested by me personally with real life audiences. I perform on average between 2 and 4 shows per week and have for most of this time, so I've worked on a lot of subtleties etc to make this stuff really work - all of which I've detailed in the book for you. A new book from a real pro.
This young man is a personel friend of mine but I tell it like it is. If you want really well thought out material that plays well & offers emotional hooks, then look no further.This lad tests everything extensively and makes large sums of money actually doing the stuff at both corporate events and on cruise ships. Again, a hell of a lot of talent for someone so young. Also, no ego or aloofnes. I hope this sells well for you my friend because I know the material is excellent. Mike Donoghue Pro. Spent some time with Kennedy whilst he was passing through Singapore, performing on board a cruise ship. To be honest, I was slightly taken aback by his generosity in sharing his thoughts, ideas and routines with me - it was almost embarrassing that I didn't have as much to offer him in return. As a friend of Ken I have been fortunate enough to see him grow and develop as a performer over the past decade. I can hand on heart say that he is an incredible talent and I already use several of his ideas within my own personal work.
I have also seen several of these pieces in action and the reactions are superb. This book proudly has a place waiting for it on my book shelf. Best Wishes Michael

Ken, is your handling of Ted K's The Bold and Beautiful prophecy in here or any of your other books? You mentioned on here several years ago that you developed a way so that the three people receiving the different predictions could talk and the dual reality wouldn't break down.

I agree, let's be careful about revealing too much. Our secrets and methods are sacred.

On another note this Kennedy book looks superb and the word BAIRN actually means "Child" in Scottish (similar to the Norwegian and German word for Child, among others).

I'm delighted to see one of the younger generation who is proud to use old-school nuts and bolts methods to achieve his effects. DR and IS have became lazy cop-outs for creators who are unable to come up with an actual method to achieve their desired effect. The odd exception aside, most DR and IS effects are a waste of paper. Usually e-paper.

I am not sure where it was, or whether it was via PM, but someone asked me if there are any card routines in this book.
The answer is that, yes, there are - and they are just as compelling as the other bits. The reason for this is that Kennedy approaches everything from the perspective of presentation first, and methodology second, and I remember reading one routine specifically and thinking 'BUT HOW!?!'
