Michael, it is an entirely different thing.
Again, I am not talking about its effectiveness DURING the show, but what happens later. Besides, why would you go through all that work if you didn't have to? For me, I get to a show, I am in a room until I am introduced, and then I am onstage. That's how it is for most entertainers on the circuit. |

Obviously I'm not saying it's required or needed, it's just a tool like anything else and allowes to do effects that normally wouldn't be possible or makes certain effect cleaner. It really depends on the mentalist, I for example know some of your effects that I really like using and some that would probably destroy the credibility I was trying to build if I used them. (don't mean that as an offence just poiting out the diffrent styles). Ps. weirdly enough the effect of yours that I use the most is the one that uses a bit of DR (the one with ESP signs and the instruction on the card), I know it can hardly be classified as dual reality but it's still a good example of how it can be used well.

The problem is when the DR is "too open" and you leave an "open loop". I think PS can be used effectively if you engage your audience in an apparent same way from the moment you get to the gig. I would love to put a wireless recorder to all my audience members to listen their thoughts after the show.

Actually, I don't have the time to spend here debating this issue.
I'm sure Bob and I will spend considerable time on Sunday discussing all this. |

I'm going to watch this lecture with a bottle of scotch and play a drinking game.
A drink every time Richard takes off his glasses or Bob swears. With an extra two drinks if either of them go to the bathroom. Good job I can download it later.
Tomorrow's bottom of the bill...Today!

Dr. Bob, are you going to go over and show us Chronologue at the Penguin lecture tomorrow? I'd love to see you perform it and explain it. Never seen it before.

"The New York Papers," Mark Twain once said,"have long known that no large question is ever really settled until I have been consulted; it is the way they feel about it, and they show it by always sending to me when they get uneasy. "

That's not a review " it was awesome". That was a "gimmie". Everybody knows that 1 + 1 = Awesome. How about more of a indepth review?

If you had seen the lecture, you'd understand why it was simply "awesome."

Were all the items listed in the original post as being planned to be part of the lecture, actually covered?

Yes, while the lecture was certainly educational, it definitely did not deliver on what was advertised. I can understand why some people who purchased the lecture based on that advertising are not very happy. I wonder if there was miscommunication between Penguin and Bob and Richard.
