In an accident Batman became brain-dead, as shown by the electroencephalograph which showed a flat line. Brain dead but his vital organs were still functioning, namely respiratory and circulatory. The Doctor let Robin decide whether to unplug the life support system or not. Robin decided to keep Batman alive for a little while longer. While brain dead, Batman's spirit had a post-death experience where he visited the afterlife. In this afterlife, he meets his actual parents who had already died. Understandably Batman is overwhelmed with joy at the Reunion. He had missed them so much that now he wants to stay with them even though his Parents insist that Bruce is too young to die yet, that he still has many more things he has to accomplish on the Earth. But Bruce is insistent on staying with them. It is at this point that Deadman appears. By recounting Batman's key achievements, Deadman finally convinces Batman to return to his body on Earth where he overcomes the flat line and thereby revives. |

We know a fellow who died three times according to his doctors and nurses. Interestingly, the fellow tells three quite different stories of what happened to him and of how different people saved him and so on. He actually had a heart attack and hurt his head and somebody did save him but he does not recall that story at all. We think he will get well soon.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

It's really too bad that actress Brie Larson has been making so many feminist remarks about the Captain Marvel movie. It will alienate much of the Male audience which is always bad for the box-office. I guess she thinks that the movie is an opportunity for her to use as a soapbox. But I see this as hurting the box office.

Alienating a male audience for a super hero movie does not seem to me to be the recipe for blockbuster numbers.

I don't think her SJW publicity tour will necessarily hurt the movie. It will be the movie itself that makes or breaks it. If the movie turns out to be another SJW Last Jedi fiasco, it will really hurt it. If Marvel stays smart and stays away from SJW commentary in the movie itself, I think it'll continue Marvel's success. There are plenty of other SJW Marvel actors who make a lot of noise and they haven't hurt the movies themselves at this point. Here's keeping my fingers crossed.

I held out little hope for Ol Punishy. I LIKED the series, but it seemed doomed. Sad really. The politics of the streaming service world I guess are more than I understand.

I hope they don't get all racist with Captain Marvel. Illegal (extraterrestrial) immigrants and the horrors of a war brought into our society... I hope not.
Reversing the polarity of a character (say using black actors for supporting characters in DCU... or rewriting a character as female in Doctor Who) is not SJW progress. It's a cute stunt which was old back when Shaksepeare's players were working. Recall the origin story of Green Lantern? Test pilot... alien police force... answers to who? Amazon, Martian, Kree or Skrull - it's not like they are pushing any boundaries in SJW causes. Supergirl is not really a guy. Martha Kent is not also Marth Wayne. Wonder Woman is keeping her bracelets on but if you're nice she'll use her lasso. Maybe Captain Marvell will be fun. I hope so.

Did Marvel push the envelope too far? Nothing graphic at all but the following panels explain that the siblings Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch have an incestuous relationship.

Has anybody been watching the new Doom Patrol series? I was already a fan of the group from reading and collecting the DC magazine. But that was the old one and not the new magazine so I'm not familiar with Crazy Jane at all. All I know is that she has a multiple personality so she's just like the movie Sybil that came out ages ago.
Of all the members my favorite was always Negative Man because of his radiation which makes him a menace and therefore an Outcast. Actually all of the members are Outcast-Freaks in a way which is what made the Doom Patrol innovative when they debuted back in the early 60s. |

I objected at first because I thought $75 was too much to pay for a single 10 episode series, and the ability to watch old episodes of TV shows I'd already seen and DC movies. But now there are two with a third one on the way. Titans, Doom Patrol, and Star Girl. Don't know much about Star Girl, but might be interesting.
