Hello to all of you,

I recently had the pleasure and honor to chat with Mr. Anthony Jacquin and managed to get a copy of his excellent "Reality is plastic" Ebook. I was able to finish it yesterday and I am eager to start testing this new knowledge. I have been doing magic for many , many years now (almost 20 ... boy time flies) and it's funny to have that feeling of "Just starting out" on a new discipline. If all goes well, I will be looking for restaurant work to complement my full time job and I plan on keeping Impromptu hypnosis in my back pocket for those special occasions.

I was wondering if anyone had any quick advice for my future performances ?

Any ideas on "effects" to create ?
What are your favorite "routines" when doing hypnosis ?
Finally, although Mr. Jacquin stated that the Ebook may be all I need , I was wondering where I should go from there ? I am tempted with the Manchurian approach, a friend of mine recommends it .

I will let you all know how it goes, I think I'll start with a few "set pieces" and see how it goes from there.

My advice would be to avoid impromptu hypnosis in a restaurant at all costs.

Richard Nongard at Subliminal Sciences has some great references.

I guess our experiences are our experiences. We don't lie to each other we simply pass on happenings, potential dangers from these experiences.
I do lots of corporate close-up Ravanah and I will always use hypnosis. Every now and again that hypnpsis will be pseudo of course but both you as a magician and Danny as a hypnotist will still be mainly performers and so I would assume you'll understand that the show is the show.
I know Anthony very well and indeed we have worked together with hypnosis both on the street AND in restaurants and I think I could even say on his behalf thet if anyone were to talk of the problems with legalities and dangers in restaurant hypnosis Anthony would reply: "Not the way I do it". And I would agree with that. When you know what you're doing you know what you're doing? I would also recommend you take his advice, DON'T look for more stuff. Run with R.I.P. and you'll get good results, and THEN add to your quiver. You'll be aware that in YOUR world of magic there is a saying: "A professional uses a thousand tricks whilst a professional needs only six". And it's simply true Smile

There's really only one question you need to ask yourself and that is whether keeping "Impromptu Hypnosis in your back pocket for special occasions" is going to make it easier for you to get work as a magician.
Ask around. What does the evidence tell you? Do magicians who learn Impromptu Hypnosis suddenly find themselves working considerably more?

I can recommend the Manchurian approach (geared more to the magic routines you can use) and also The Trilby Connection as I struggled to get the confidence from just Reality is plastic. I personally prefer seeing the process on video and it they are both full of idea's for you to play around with.

At the end of the day you just have to get out there and blag it. Don't show that your just learning, act like your the master of it and I'm sure you will have great success.
