It's ok, De'vo's is 10 times better for flourishes and especially the TEACHING!

Does phantomace work for Devo?? It almost sounds like he is obsessed with Devo.

De'vo rules the his-house! Phantom is a crazed fan like many of us. Superhandz is the cream of the crop. Long live them all.

You won't! Make sure to watch the CTG intro video first and crank up the sound. After you watch it all, make SURE to check all the extras and bonuses in the forums. Lots of great tips and even extra handlings and ideas. CTG is the BIZ-OMB

Devo's flourishes actually were in sync with the music.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I will definitely check out all the extras. I'm not stupid. But a quick question: is CTG reachable for someone who has never done any flourishes before? I’m just getting into them and I already ordered the DVD, so I'm not backing down on it but are the flourishes pretty easy?

There is a big range of flourishes. Some are VERY easy! The bluff opener you can do in 5 seconds. Other easy ones are the Flipback, the easy opener, flick and pop opener. The Birdy fan is very easy if you know how to fan. If not, take the 4-fan tutorials with instruction. There are straightforward but fans do take practice. The Flip back vanish is a piece of cake. Medium is probably the Flip back fan, and Heaven Display.
The hard ones are the smooth opener, and the entire CTG routine, although the CTG routine has 45 minutes of instruction or so, so you can learn what you are supposed to do from watching. The rest is up to you. It is an expert routine so you won't get it overnight but is completely worth the work. So I may of missed one or two, but at least you can see that there is easy stuff, medium stuff, and hard stuff. Something for everyone, but all the moves are just so cool! There isn't anything on this DVD that I wouldn't use. Something that I read over and over in the forums is that many thought they wouldn't be able to do any of the moves, and they were surprised on how great the teaching was and how easy they picked the stuff up. I know I was and I consider myself a beginner. I could walk through most all in no time. I'm still working at some to get 100% and smooth, but I can do everything on the DVD. Let us know how you do on it! |

Hey, thanks man. Yeah, just by seeing demos I can do a Flipback and Flipback vanish. I’m waiting for the DVD to come so I’ve been making up little Flipback routines. I mean they are easy but something to get me a little used to flourishes. Yeah, I’ve heard from many different sources that the moves on CTG are fairly simple. I just can’t wait to get the DVD.

Some are, but the Smooth opener and the complete CTG routine is pretty darn tough!

Does anyone know how much the second edition "Bible" will cost? Also anything else that may not be that expensive would help too.

Probably around the same price as the old one, not many things will change, only corrections in handling and other bits of making routines and such. The best choice is Jerry Cestkowski's Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes.
