Claude Rix Presents Original Close Up Routines is a set of lecture notes from the 80's. Good luck finding them.
Livre Correspondance et Manigances is a book written in French which is available from Magicaplanet.

His other book "Claude Rix et ses 52 partenaires" that you can translate by "Claude Rix and his 52 Assistants", is entirely about the memorized deck.
From what I know, this book is only available in french. |

That's a good question. I don't have the book either but I think the book is about memorized deck.
I didn't know about the term "rosary" but I'm pretty sure "chapelet" in french = "memorized deck" in english. A rosary stack seems to be a sequential stack, or cyclic. source: http://www.deceptionary.com/aboutstacks.html The same source describes the Claude Rix's memorized deck as a "Memorized Stacks" or memorized deck. Another source, but in french, is about a review of the Claude Rix's book. It is said that Claude Rix's memorized deck doesn't include visible sequences of cards, and that you need to learn the exact (numeric) position of every card. So it seems to be different from a sequential/circular/rosary stack. |

Actually Claude Rix had learned his memorized deck in 1946. At that time in France, the most popular deck was a deck of 32 cards... Claude Rix has the good idea to learn a deck of 52 cards. Nevertheless, he took a deck of card, he shuffled it then he learned it.
When he wrote his book "Claude Rix and his 52 assistants" with Hervé Pigny, he was conscious of this mistake. So he decided to create a new memorized deck for the book with several properties : - One of the best spelling routine (in french) - The Vernon Poker Demonstration - An Aces Production - An oil and water (- A french magician found a beautiful way to have a red/black separation thanks to the Claude Rix stack) Anyway this stack is a real memorized deck, not a rosary, not a system. This is a very good book if you speak french. Because most of the tricks in this book works with any stack. |
