Looks good on the video he has on Penguin. I don't think it's the ultimate, however.

I heard it is very gimmicked (gimmicked cards)

It is very gimmicked. the cards themselves aren't gimmicked but they do use a gimmick. there are better assemblies out there. this sort of assembly I can see working as maybe a closer or stand alone effect.

They are not gimmicked cards. you use normal cards and you provide an external gimmick that you use with the cards.

Its a good trick--but there are better downloads that do not require a gimmick at Penguin--

It looks good on camera but in person it's not realistic since in the end even though the spectators have their hands on the aces, they can't inspect them which spectators usually want to. Go with Dream of Aces by Gary Oulette. It's his version of McDonald's Aces and is very good and convicing.

Ultimate ace assembly is sorta 'too good to be true' in my opinion..the spectator will get suspicious that the cards change in their hands...
anyway that's just my opinion |

If you want a good Ace Assembly try the Brush it can be found in Scams & Fantasies with Cards - Darwin Ortiz. This is a ungimmicked ace assembly. And lay people love it.

This has been discussed here before, try searching the archives. The "method" has been used before too, in an ealier marketed effect called "Blue Collar Aces".

I personally don't like the OZ ace assembly. You can't examen the cards which is a huge disappointment.
However, the trick looks great on camera. |

I personally LOVE the OZ ace assembly. NOT the examining the cards is really NOT too bad as long as you manage the audience. However, the trick looks REAL magic! Oh my!!

Possibly one of the best tricks I have ever bought "Skinners Ultimate 3 Card Monte" can't be examined at the end either but that doesn't stop it being a great trick.
I would agree with the comment above though that this looks too good to be true. You have to give the audience some kind of out otherwise they are going ask to examine the cards as it is pretty obvious that at no time have you had the chance to move things about so the cards must be faked in some way. And I certainly wouldn't let a spectator spread the last packet ( kudos to Oz who found a spectator who would spread the cards in such a light fingered and professional way rather than picking them up and fanning them). On a positive note I thought the last ace transposition was a real kicker

I have ultimate ace assembly and I love it!!!!!! the spectators go crazy and because of this they wanna examine it.... I just say no and they say ok..... just cause they cant examine it doesn't mean its not a good trick.....i mean come on they might say "oh theres a trick to the cards" and I just say yeah theres a trick....... that's why its not real magic..... just like if you have pen thru dollar, they say I know its a trick pen cause I borrowed there bill but who cares!! its obveous that theres a trick to it
I suggest you get the Ultimate Ace Assembly!!!! Its great.... |

Rami7007,
You said, "..... just like if you have pen thru dollar, they say I know its a trick pen cause I borrowed there bill but who cares!!" This is bad news. This type of philosophy bothers me a great deal. I guess if you don't have nothing nice to say than don't say anything at all. I'll take that advice and leave it at that and only hope you one day realize the damage that can be caused with that type of thinking. Incidentally, maybe one in a hundred people think the pen is a gimmick if you do it right. In your case, well.....enough said.

I have found that the spectator already has his hands on the cards and really does not ask to see them in the final phase!! Again Guys...audience management is key here!

On video it looks good, and Oz handles it very well, but I personally wouldn't do this effect because IMO the gimmick is over-used. But if you think the preparation is worth it, then go ahead.

Card guy...i totally disgree with you 100%...really does not make much sense at all...each trick should be judged on it's own merit and effect!
