Hi all,
Just got the two volume set from Gregory Wilson, and it seems great, can't get more impromptu than this! I was just curious on which effects you perform from Vol. 1? I think Quicksilver and the Paper over Head Classic seem like effects worth practicing.... P.S. The woman he's got with him in the explanation sequence, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that Brittany Andrews the pornstar? Jack.

I love doin the old classic Paper over Head Classic you need just a little bit of practice but is powerful gag that you can use in between two tricks!
Also from volume two look for recap revisited . You can do it anywhere anytime. You can start for example a street magic session with someone by simply sayin' can I show you sometin' and start with the pen! |

Got my DVD yesterday and I love it! But since I'm a beginner I think I will have some problems though, and that will be on the solid misdirection issue.
Well, I'll start at the beginning with 3/4 across, it seems clean, visual and stunning. F. |

Yes, 3/4 across and Recap Revisited are nice routines but as fengenroll mentioned: misdirection is a hard thing to practice.

Ring Fright is a lot of fun too.

I do the jumping ring thing to this day and it still works like a charm.

I use 3/4 across and recap revisited on an almost daily basis. And ring fright is how I open my ring and string routine. Those tapes are pure gems.

I use the Paper Balls Over the Head. It is a great piece of comedy, and I am in the process of perfecting recap revisited.

I perform the paper balls over the head, watchsteal and pickpocket lite.
This 2 volume set is worth every penny. |

I also use Recap Revisited and 3/4 across. Every time I have done 3/4 across and have asked a spec to lend me the coins to show them, 99% of the time they will leave bewildered. and there is me, 75 cents richer! I guess if I ever need to make a phone call and don't have change, I'll know what to do.

Still working on RECAP REVISITED... haven't done it for real people yet. I am taking my time.
I would, however contest that there is in REALITY very little pportunity to perform what could actually be termed "close-up" magic.

I enjoyed Recap for some time. But I like Apollo Robbins version of it as well 'Son of Recap'.
I like Quicksilver, the audience management is a nice challenge. I think I'm going to watch that video again. |

My personnal favourite is Recap Revisited and ring fright. I always end a ring routine with ring fright.
I am looking for some pen routine that uses normal pen, anybody know of any books or video that I can learn that from? |

I like to do the magic with the pen, I can't remember the name.
I really have to know, is the girl Brittany Andrews the pornstar? I thought she was beatifull, now I'm really curious. |

The video says her name is Britain, not Britney.
The only few routines I've seen with an ungimmicked pen is Recap and son of Recap. Not sure of too many others. |
