A bit ago I posted a story about telempathy in the hopes others might shed some light on this technique/phenomena
No responses on List, but several folks asked me privately what this was about. Here are some definitions extracted/embellished from scarce notes over the years. Only one post on the Café back in 2006 maybe some of you know or use this under a different name ................ TELEMPATHY 1) n. the concept of implanting an idea or propensity in another person’s mind through subliminal influence of latent empathic acuity in a selfless manner. 2) v. the process or action of creating an empathic bond with another person for the purpose of planting or nurturing an idea as if it was their own creation. 3) n. the ability to use another person(s) as a conduit for personal microcosmological mental editing and balance. 4) n. a general reference to innate adroit projective empathic abilities as opposed to adept telepathic thought transmission. see also telempathic seed, telempic inference, adroit empathy, projective meditation notes: researchers are divided over theories of origin of this phenomenon. Most popular are: an evolutionary advancement of mental abilities, or an innate but generally suppressed pre-linguistic form of communication. Little verifiable evidence is available since the use of telempathy requires selfless release of ownership of an idea and a clearing of related memories. An individual may have memories of forming an empathic connection but none of the material transferred or planted. The receptor of the telempathic seed has little memory of the connection, possibly masked by the thrill of creativity. One theory posits that no idea is truly original but a composite of numerous telempathic experiences. A telempathic experience may be naturally occurring as a byproduct of gestalt energy shared in a ”common toil” event such as quilting, barn raising, musical jamming and the famous “mending wall.” Apparently, a person is more open to being a receptor of telempic inference when involved in a focused but selfless activity. The corollary is that the more one is involved in egocentric activities the less creative they will be (or appear to be.)
