Yeah, I believe in using anchoring to strengthen audience reactions... but I have never seen an NLP-based "force" that can be used for predictions or evidence of mind control etc.
By the way, I like your routine. Very good-vibe oriented. And most likely pretty to see. :) /grrrr |

In other words we all get results of some sort with the actions and communications we make. NLP is the study of excellence. In other words it’s the study of how desired results are achieved usually unconsciously by some talented performer, communicator, therapist or whatever. Its noticing what makes the difference so that it can be used consciously (at first) to create the kind of results we desire and be consistent. As for forces one language pattern is the “illusion of choice “ or double bind. For example I used to stop watches in the owners hand. I used the following language to force the belief that something was happening in their hand….” Some people tell me ..you can feel the watch become heavier…while others say it seems to feel lighter…or sometimes they say it gets really warm….I don’t which one you will feel ….now. Or perhaps it might be something else that lets you know something is happening…..and as soon as you notice this happening let me know….. “ There seems to be the illusion of choice or but really there isn’t. I don’t care what they imagine as long as they believe something is happening…. Tonality of voice is also important as is pace. In the above sentences you will see embedded commands which are suggestions which can be marked out using a shift in posture tonality etc. Learning to do this over a period of time can create the ability to illicit hypnotic phenomena conversationally.. |

:) You are probably right Alexander ! But if I return to NLP force I can give you my hint I use to increase my psychological forces or to create aother ones. For example, we want to force 1 object between 4. A glass of water (that's the object we want to force) A sheet of paper A small box A pen Ok ! During the beginning of your show you will do an anchoring on your spec. That's why this kind of force ust be use after at least 20 minutes. During the beginning of the show you will associate unconsciously "water" with something like a sound and a gesture. Each time you talk about water you do something special at this moment(you don't talk espacially of "water",you just talk and in the discussion "water" or a "glass of water" may occured). For example, you lower the sound of the radio and then you sit down and relax on your chair. Do this 4 or 5 times : "water" or "glass of water" = "lower the sound of the radio and then you sit down and relax on your chair" People won't make consciously the link between these 2 facts. Now when it's time for the force : Put the differents objects with the glass of water in psychological force position (I won't describe this here but I believe you know what is a psychological force position), it will help... but when you will ask for 1 of these 4 objects : just sit and relax on your chair and lower the sound of the radio ! That's a practical "anchoring". Of course, anchoring is often much more subtle and difficult than that, but this example will help you to increase your hits.
Il était une fois...

A 101 course in Sociology should provide you with all the material you will ever need for psychological forces. While there, why not take an acting class or two. Finally a public speaking course would be of great benefit to anyone want to excel in our craft. Hey but what do I know?
Cheers.

I would offer the opinion that one needs to look at a force as a very small part of an entire performance and not as an effect unto itself. It is making people think a certain way and that has allot to do with presentation and the ability to sell a concept or premise. That is what will in many cases hampers effective retrograde analysis. As some of you know allot of my DVD's dealt with new applications of force work and how to make them far more effective than the norm. My Elvis force hit almost 100% on Phenomenon and I have heard from a number of performers that they have not been able to duplicate the hit rate. (At one time there was a thread about it on this forum). This in large part is due to framing and dynamic audience control .(It will not work just by saying the words I said). I am sure there is a clip on YouTube somewhere but I have no idea were. Do agree 100% on the acting and voice lesson they will certainly benefit not just the effectiveness of forces but also ones entire show. Best Wishes, Jim H.o.A-X

NLP cannot reinforce a psychological force. Depending upon the force, various NLP techniques might be used to reinforce the force. It would depend upon your training, the person you're working with, and any audience. Some NLP techniques work very well with an audience. Others don't work with an audience but may work with an individual. Something that works with one individual may not work with another. Attending a training helps you learn what works with a group, how to use different techniques with an individual, and how to determine if a technique isn't working and change it to another one. |

Psychological forces? Im looking to read about how to get a person to think of a Letter within a Name that I have already stolen via Acidus novus peek wallet or PCT... I mean before I reveal the Name I woould like to have them think of a letter in that name, reveal that first then reveal the word.

IMO, perhaps the quintessential reference work on psychological forces is Jon Thompson's "Naked Mentalism II: Secrets of the Primes." It provides the statistical data. Refer to other sources for the presentation.

Paisa123, yes there is something like that in print in a few places. for one, it's in one of banachek's releases. I can't remember which offhand.
Some people hear voices.. Some see invisible people.. Others have no imagination whatsoever.

It's called the Letters In A Word and is on page 32 of the first PS. It is also in his 2005 lecture notes (and I imagine subsequent sets), called The Brain Game. It is exactly what you describe you are looking for.
Not only do you tell them the letter they are thinking of but also its position in the word in The Brain Game 1 & 2. I suspect you'll like BG 2 just as much for what you are doing. It is all about getting into the head of the participant, showing you know how they think, not just what they think. Banachek does this with his drawing duplications as well, describing a shape en route to the final picture as well as something they have left out. A twist on this is applied to his blindfold routine in a remarkable way. This is on one of his DVDs as well. The impact on the participant and then the audience is powerful, having seen him perform both at colleges and a lecture. This is Banachek at his best. Joshua Quinn incorporates a very nice use of the Letters In A Word ploy in his Word To Your Mother book test. For both Banachek and Quinn, it's all about also revealing the thought process, not only the thought, whether it be a name or a drawing or a seemingly minor detail of the blindfold process. These methods are not particularly difficult but are high level methodology and take confidence and the willingness to be bold. There is some risk, though Banachek nailed it the every time I've seen him do it. These ploys become a theme throughout his act. It is definitely worth it to give the participant the experience that you are inside their head. If you can't tell, I really like this approach! After plugging Banachek and Quinn, let me take a moment to plug my own 4 digit force from my ebook The Fource. Osterlind writes glowingly about it in Mystique and quite a few top performers contributed wonderful effects using this most psychological of forces. As I write this, ways to evoke that "in your head" feeling using The Fource come to mind. Pardon the pun. And the self-serving plug. |

Just wanted to add this little insight I've had. There has been one and only ONE Psychological Force I've used that worked for me 100% of the time. It's on Jay Noblezada's Money DVD in the routine 5 and 1 Transpo. Every time I've done this routine no matter what. No matter if they are older or younger, smart or a little daff, it's worked. BUT FYI it's only between 2 items.
