Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been posting regularly for the last two months or so, that is because I have been busy filming a new magic series for Sky One. The show is a six part series starring me my friends Max and Chris. It starts on the 6th of February Friday nights at 7pm, the coveted Simpsons slot (simpsons moves to 8pm). The show is a mix of everything there is some ‘hidden camera’ magic where we disguise ourselves as different characters, there is ‘street magic’ (they made us do it!), magic straight to the camera (no audience), magic on celebs, comedy magic and more. I even managed to get some of my own material in there. It has been a lot of hard work and I hope magicians like it as well as the public.
Everyone please watch it and get those viewing figures up! Friday nights 7pm starting 6th of Feb, Sky One. P.S. This is on English TV. Joe |

Thanks. Rey-Rey and Simon, I have sent you both PM's. I watched the first cuts of the first two episodes, and I am excited. I just saw the first adverts for the show while watching Simpsons today, then it hit me: this time next week I will be watching myself and my friends Max/Chris! Life is mad and the reality of it is just kicking in. Four years ago as an 17 year old magician I was watching David Blaine, wishing that I could be that guy. Four years later not only have I met Blaine a few times, I am starring in a magic series with two of my friends. People, follow your dreams. I mean really follow, them and they might come true.

Hackmonkey, I think the dream became a goal when you started working towards it. You put quite a bit of hard work into making it come true. And achieving goals is one of the most satisfying things in life. I do have one question, though... what's next for you after this?
If anyone sees my sanity, please return it to
me. |

Hey, Joe. I saw the first episode today, and it was excellent!
The watch steal sequence on the police was superb ("Give that back - it's Government property"), and the Matrix parody was a stroke of genius. The spectator reactions on the street work were absolutely priceless. Seriously, mate - congratulations to the whole crew. Cheers, Cy. P.S. Hey! Now I can tell everyone how I used to work with "that magician on TV." Smart! |

Hey, Joe.
Yeah, the psychic roach was smart. Was that one of your ideas? I await the TV debut of your now-infamous Torn & Restored Hamster routine... Cheers, Cy. PS: As a side note, you look very different from the "good old days". If I hadn't known it was you, I'm not at all sure I would have recognised you. Like Caleb says, can't wait for episode two. |

Bodie - with respect, take away the tricks from your magic act, and what's left? Not much, I'll bet.
I confess to being quite a fan of this show, but then I'm not especially looking for "depth" or "intrigue". If you are, then perhaps this is not the show for you. As for emotion, the primary one featured in this show seems to be the laughter of the punters and the pleasure of the performers. It's a fun show. Min |

Hi Lea glad you enjoyed the show. I am the youngest guy I do the matrix bits and some of the celebs, plus some other bits and bobs like the fast-food bit etc.
Three episodes left! |

Don't want to be a cynic but I have watched all 3 Max Magic's and each week I'm more let down.
Two of the items in the last show were stolen from the NBC special "T.H.E.M." The matrix character was taken from an item in Trouble's "Playing Tricks" and the character magic concept is taken from Channel 4's "Magick" (Max's Russian guy seems like a direct steal from their Spanish character) I'm sure you're better than that, some items were quite good. |

I have decided to edit this post for various reasons. At the end of the day Bodie you are way off base in most of what you said and you don't know what you are talking about.
The showbiz/television side of magic is way more complicated then you think my good man. Joe |
