Bob Little's SUPER SUNDAY (One-day Magic Convention)
Sunday, November 30, 2014. 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Lecture by Kainoa Harbottle. Magicians know Kainoa best from Curtis Kam's Palms of Steel series, but since then he has been featured at the New York Coin Magic Seminars in Pennsylvania and Las Vegas alongside David Roth, Michael Rubinstein, Geoff Latta, and Mike Gallo. He is currently known by most magicians as the coin guru for Reel Magic Magazine and Sleight School, and just wowed the audiences at the Magic Castle with his all coin close-up act. Kainoa’s lecture will feature magic designed with visual impact, cleanliness of method, and modular climaxes. The material and techniques were developed in the strolling and table-hopping environments of Waikiki. He will also be discussing how to transform your close-up pieces into stand-up material using before and after examples from his repertoire. While there is material for the novice performer, Kainoa will also be presenting routines that will challenge the hardcore among you. His thinking is revolutionary, and he enjoys surprising other magicians by making the most difficult material look easy. Couple that with his engaging personality and offbeat sense of humor and you have what is sure to be an unforgettable experience of great magic. Don't miss this chance to see a true one-of-a-kind performer. Oh, yeah! There will also be Magic Dealers, Auction, Lecture, Dealers Show, A Special Tribute to be Announced and an evening show like no other. Regardless of what you expect from a magic convention, you will find even more than you dreamed of when you discover Bob Little's Super Sunday. You won't believe your eyes! BEST WESTERN Bensalem 3499 Street Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 - Only minutes from everywhere! FORMALLY A HOLIDAY INN but the same venue location as in prior years. |

This promises to be a great lecture with some very useful material being taught.
According to Bob, Kainoa will teach some effects that can be done in both Parlor and Stage settings. So, the lecture will not be limited to just Close Up effects. There will be something for everyone. |

Wish I could go. Got to take the son back to college in DC.

I don't think there's ever a bad Bob Little's but I don't think this one was up to standards. The evening show, while filled with good acts, didn't have that WOW! factor. The auction always carries with it a certain level of noise but it seemed more so this year. Two ladies sitting behind me started talking out loud at the begining of the auction and never stopped talking unti the end. They had no interest in the auction and they didn't seem to care about anyone else, even though the SHHHHH was brought up many times. And it wasn't just them. There were a few others that thought "smart" comments and loud conversations were OK.
Overall though, it was a good day of magic and meeting old friends. Looking forward to June 7th and the next Super Sunday.
