Magic returns to Cape Cod! Following the success of the "First Annual" OMI, we're hosting it again--same beautiful oceanside location, same weekend of the year, same intimate and friendly format. Host venue is Red Jacket Beach Resort in South Yarmouth, MA. This year's talent includes Losander, Oscar Munoz, Ariann Black, Kevin and Robin Heller, Mickey Silver, Becky Blaney, Andrew Pinard, young magicians Daniel Cipolla and Andrew Cipolla, and one more Mystery Performer.

After attending last year's Oceanside Magic Invitational, Jay Scott Berry (one of our headliners) proclaimed OMI "quite simply one of the finest boutique conventions in the world." Headliner Shawn Farquhar also endorses OMI, saying: "I attend many magic conventions and few really understand that the number one thing we all want from the convention is community. We spend enough time alone in our rooms practicing and many spend plenty of time performing, but it is rare to find a place where we can share and learn from each other in a comfortable and friendly environment. The organizers of OMI really understand this fundamental need and have created a special place in the world of magic."

This convention is self-produced (Markus and Angelique Steelgrave) and is not affliated with any other convention (past or present), Ring, Assembly, Magic Dealership, or organization. On the schedule for 2015:

6+ Lectures
Dealers
Cabaret/Close-Up Show
Gala Stage Show
Auction
Dealer Show
Complimentary Buffet Luncheon on Friday and Saturday
Nightly Hospitality Suite

Please visit www.OceansideMagic.com for registration, schedule, performers/lecturers, and resort info. Due to space at the host resort, attendance will be capped at 200 people, and the Friday evening Cabaret/Close-Up Show is limited to the first 175 registrants.

Hope to see you on Cape Cod in April!

Performers, Lecturers, and Dealers at the 2nd Annual OMI are now finalized...and it's going to be once again "one heck of a magic convention!" (As Mickey Silver said)

We're excited to add Harry Allen of Daytona Magic to our slate of performers, lecturers, and dealers. In addition, Kozmo will lecture and perform, as well as have a presence in the Dealer Room.

Although the actual hour-by-hour schedule is still being tweaked, all the players are in place to bring this fantastic convention to life a second time. Red Jacket Beach Resort is accepting room reservations now, so if you attend you'll be able to stay at one of the finest "oceanside" properties on Cape Cod for a song (compared to their in-season rates it is a HUGE deal).

FMI check out the site at www.OceansideMagic.com .

And for those reading this, here's a special link to register at a rate lower than the current published rate: www.OceansideMagic.com/registrationqr.html . Not reachable in navigation, this page is only reachable by link. Discounted registration??? Really! Yes, as Marshall Brodein used to say, "It's easy once you know the secret"! Smile

and introducing Andrew Cipolla, from SYM #29 Boston
With Mistress of Ceremonies, comedy magician Becky Blaney, from Texas

Tickets are just $15 online in advance, $20 at the door.

Showtime 8:00 p.m., at Dennis-Yarmouth High School, 210 Station Avenue, South Yarmouth, MA

FMI/purchase tickets: www.OceansideMagic.com

(And registration is still open for the entire convention... Lectures, and Dealers, and Shows...Oh, My!)

Looks like I will have to seriously consider this, even from Florida...

With just 6 weeks to go before this convention, we suddenly have spots open for two more dealers. Hoping not to have overlap in product line...any advice? Here are the current dealers for the 2015 Oceanside Magic Invitational:

Diamond's Magic from Peabody, MA (the largest brick-and-mortar shop in New England)
Daytona Magic (another actual b&m shop)
Kozmo Magic / Reel Magic Magazine
Losander
Wizard Craft Magic (does Craig have an actual shop? I've never asked him, silly me!)
John Henry's World of Magic, which is also sometimes still called "Magically Yours" based on their line of greeting cards and posters...gorgeous, BTW.

So...would love suggestions for dealers. Keeping in mind that this is a SMALL convention and there will be under 150 people. Cape Cod in April...not a bad place to be, and we don't charge for a table...buy a registration and get your table. Smile We're that easy to deal with!

Thanks, folks; you can e-mail me from the website, www.oceansidemagic.com/contact.html

And if you want to register, there's still plenty of room.

If you live in the Cape Cod area - or anywhere in New England for that matter - I highly recommend attending OMI in some capacity. The Steelgraves are awesome in how they are making this easy to attend: low cost, lots of extras, open door policy to all events and hospitalities - all are equal at this event. Get "up close and personal" with all the performers. I attended last year and it was great fun. Very warm and welcoming. You can go for just a day or just the show if you want. You can have a guest at a reduced rate.

We need more response, so get the word out! As of now, this looks to be the last year for OMI. The region needs this event.

Can anyone clear up a rumor that Rocco will be attending OMI.
