Wondering if anyone took in the lecture yesterday. Would love to hear how it went. It was set up to be a bit different,. focusing on DIY type stuff. I am not very skilled that way, BUT I love his approach to stand up/stage magic, so I am wondering if there is enough value for someone with limited DIY skills to take this one in...

This lecture was absolutely unique in many ways. First off, he made me die my hair (what LITTLE I have) and beard, green. lol...
Secondly, while the lecture WAS a DIY-type setup, he did open up the lecture by performing a few effects that were all unique and original. (i.e. - He rippsed open a box of Oreos, showed it on both sides...completely empty. He closed the box back up and proceeded to dump out a ton of individual Oreos.) There was also a card effect where the card changes places with a CD that was playing a song. Very wild and unique but yes, you would have to construct certain aspects. He also performed a linking straw routine that was extremely visual... There were talks about using different adhesives which even if you don't construct any magic, may be useful if you have any props that are starting to see wear and tear. He had a section dedicated to electronics which I found rather interesting. Some of it was over my head, but I am sure if I re-watch, I will def retain info. There was quite a bit of advice thrown in from time to time as well. Talking about character, working on a routine, and various pieces of knowledge history thrown in. I def had fun hosting this one and I really feel that there are a lot of useful bits in here for everyone.

Bizzaro says that since the SME lecture was a very limited thing and very few people saw it so he decided to share the Oreo Box since he had improved something with the gimmick.
The other effects taught were the aforementioned CD/card transpo, two bendy straws that pass through each other, sneezing your nose off your face (you have to see that one to understand it), and a sprite bottle where the cap jumps back on visually multiple times. I believe he also tipped his version of silk through mirror using a dry erase board. These were all used as visual aids to explore prop making and creativity. From what I understand it was a 3 hour tour. |

Hey guys! Just watched this lecture and thought I'd chime in. First off...love and always love his work. Bizzaro did a great job of teaching new and older material, but some of the older material taught also had some new presentation ideas which made the teachings for them better than previous lectures. He also threw in a great amount of new magic which I thought was awesomeness..I seriously loved the card/cd change. I highly recommend this lecture to anyone who loves being creative!

I watched Bizzaro do this creativity lecture for what I believe was the first time here in Las Vegas and really enjoyed it. I really like trying to get creative with prop making and fixing so it was quite valueble. I highly recommend it.
