Best $5 I've spent in a long time. Still only halfway through.

I'm pretty sure that the entire time I knew Cellini he didn't particularly like me. Looking back, it's understandable. I was a real jack-hole back then, and if he'd told me to go get screwed he'd have been justified in doing so.
That said, he was one of the best friends I ever had in magic, and, more particularly, busking. The things he taught me are responsible for me being able to actually make a living doing this stuff. His willingness to freely teach someone like me speaks volumes for his character, and I only wish he was still with us so I could thank him and apologize for not showing him more respect when I knew him. Even if looks like crass commercialism, five bucks is nothing compared to what you'll learn from him. Sitting in the back room of a magic shop with him and burning a number I learned more about busking than I'd learned in my first three years of street work, and I credit the man with my ability to make more than seven dollars a day now. He wasn't a king, he was a god walking the earth, gracing us with his knowledge and wisdom, and wherever he is now, I hope he knows how much he changed my life, and how grateful I am for it. I was there for a lot of the video shooting in NOLA, and I fondly remember chatting with Cellini off to the side while Sonny Holliday was doing the show that's a part of the videos. It's one of my most treasured memories. Anyone who's debating whether it's worth five bucks to hear the man speak on busking has no idea what it's really worth. I'd give the little finger off my right hand for a chance to sit with him for just one more hour and hear him speak.
'Tis an ill wind that blows no minds.
