My contribution to the classic effect coin thru bottle..
what I like about it the prop is small, and the spectator shakes the coin out of the bottle. for me it is a little more hands off ,,, the load I is is unique to me....

That's very nice Vinny. Smile I love when you can do magic with coins and other objects. This one is a really nice little piece. Not to mention, your SOH is just impeccable! Smile
Another great job, Godfather. Smile

I like it. Never thought of using an empty salt shaker for this effect. Thanks, Vinny.

I am not here to criticize. However, I am curious about one thing. What happens when a spectator doesn’t shake the salt shaker hard enough to eject the coin and the gimmick gets wedged in the neck of the shaker (as you did on the first shake), and the audience gets an unobstructed view of a partially folded gimmick. What then? Do you have an out or a method for handling this situation should it occur?

I think I'd probably do the shake out myself, or maybe the tweezer method to avoid what Tom Gagnon suggests. But thanks for the salt shaker idea - it's certainly a lot more portable and could also be used for salt shaker through table, so it's a multi-purpose prop.

Nice idea.

Could morph to another oldie shaker through table
possibly ending with a full shaker.

or shaker to larger container of salt.
And
When it Rains it pours.

Hi Tom,the neck on the salt shaker is wide enough that the coin just falls out with a light shake..
and I have the spectator face the audience when he does this
this has never happened with this size shaker

ps iwill send you my lading handling that is not in print I call the marini load/

Another question...

If the participant can't place the coin in the shaker, what is the motivation for allowing them to remove it?

You have it wrong once again the coin is placed in the shaker by thge magician and is removed by the spectator yet he cant put it back.. no motivation necessary .. either you like it or you don't this is what you have to answer.
not about motivation.. and I know you don;t like it you don't like anything I do

Vinny, I sure would like to see your handling on this. Smile

Not sure of all the questions on it, I only saw it as magical. Not sure that specs would be giving it that deep of thought. I truly believe they would just be overwhelmed simply by the magic of it all, IMHO. Smile

Vinny has taken the time to share his load with me. It's very clever and well conceived. I only wish that I had thought of it myself.
