"Sharp This" is a custom-altered Sharpie that allows you to draw a line on anything or anyone, and then magically make it vanish. Draw on your own face, across your pants, on a spectator's sleeve, on the tablecloth, or even on a car or wall. Then instantly wave your hands and make the long black streak instantly disappear.

There is a secret telescoping "line" that retracts into the tip of this custom marker, and this makes "Sharp This" a HIGHLY VISUAL magic gag easy to perform. As an interlude between tricks, "Sharp This" is the perfect way to elicit laughter and even screams. This belongs in every performer's bag. Demo at link below.

This has been done before. I had one, though it was not a "Sharpie" style marker. Worked the same way as this one. I never used it- looked great live but in person looked pretty bad. I bought mine for about $5.00! Crazy- $24.95 for this!!

"what magic has come to"? Welcome to magic -- gags like this are ancient. Not my style, but It suits some people. And it could conceivably be used in a more traditional magic setting as well.

Here is the one I had at one point: http://madhattermagicshop.com/magicshop/......_id=8125

Now it's selling for $1.50!!! Exact same thing except it's not a Sharpie. Sorry- but $24.95 for this is crazy!

Just another example of VI's terrible decisions. Amazing Johnathan used to include one of these in his magic kit years ago. This is not new by any stretch.

Guys, if you don't want something don't buy it. I have many items that are gold to me that you might consider tin. So what?

The fact that this is Sharpie is a huge difference to me and many others. The seller can charge any price he wants. A high price makes it more exclusive for those who will get the most out of it.

I have to say this over and over in these forums but here I go again: Some people sell purses or sneakers for hundreds of dollars. The fact that you wouldn't pay that is unimportant. The seller offers the items and some people buy it (or don't). Stop being so judgemental about it.

It's more the fact it's not his to sell and isn't original.

XPERT worked by a different method. This is a redo of something that has been around for a long while.

I like this , it's very well made and the pen and it does look just like a real sharpie (as I suspect it is), not just the barrel etc but the tip as well.

We have them in stock ready to ship http://www.saturnmagic.co.uk/new-magic/s......inc.html

Since I did this review ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxn7hNFMxyg ), I have heard from David that he actually has a newer model. I'd be curious to know what is different.

I don't think there is anything wrong with updating a classic.

Sharp This – David Bonfadini

Product description : This is a little tool disguised as a sharpie which will allow you to pretend drawing black line on people's cloth or skin and directly erasing it, leaving nothing.

Price and where to buy it : This is sold at $24.95 and you can find it in nearly every Murphys partner (so you can get it at your favorite magic shop).

What you get : You get a little package with the gimmicked pen inside along with a link to a very brief explanation video. The video is not the best quality I've seen but it does the job. But due to the nature of the gimmick, it's pretty much self explanatory.

Teaser : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1aRNaUSuGQ

The pros and the cons : Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end.

THE CONS :
- It can be perceived by the spectators more like a gag than a magic trick. I've no problem about that but be aware this is not a « magic trick » by itself.
- I've broken the plastic end of the sharpie after having carrying it for a day, this may be because of how the gimmick is installed inside so be gentle with the pen and take care of it.

THE PROS :
- It's a quick, instant and fun thing to do, even more on women (not being sexist there) but they do react more than men and sometimes, you will get priceless reaction.
- The pen does not write and this is perfect for any pen routine (check Greg' Wilson's work) because you won't put black pen on your ear or cloth which is a very nice thing.
- The gimmick is built inside a sharpie so you can completely switch it in and out without anybody noticing. The quality of the whole thing seems fine even if mine breaks, you can take it out quite easily and make another one with it.
- I think with a little bit more thoughts, you could do more « magic » trick with other than writting on people or wall, this has potential, you just have to work a little bit to find out what more it can do.

Overall rating : I quite liked this product, it's not a revolution but it's a nice thing to carry around and a nice addition a pen routine : 3/4 hearts for me.

As for the difficulty level, it's self working 0/5 stars !

Similar products : This gaff may have been used before but I don't think it has ever been put into a sharpie which makes it workable so it's the way to go if you want to achieve this effect, you won't be disappointed.
