I have to issue a sort of mea culpa here, as I am part of the reason that some of these bits haven't been uploaded yet.
It is convenient to work together on some of these extras as we live so close together, but over the summer months and into the fall, our schedules have been so busy that we really haven't gone to dinner anywhere near as frequently as we used to - and that is where many of these bits were originally intended to have come together. I know that is somewhat frustrating, but take solace in the fact that in addition to the extra material, Hangar-18 purchasers also got a discount. I suppose the silver lining is that with each passing day, we gain more experience and wisdom that we can share. And it will be shared, I know Looch is committed to offering more updates and I have no doubts that he will do so. Best, Atlas |

The idea of a private forum/area sounds interesting to me, but I have yet to see it done in a sustainable way (participation usually dies off after a while, or it never takes off at all). However you also mention logistical reasons. If you want to give it a try and need any assistance on the technical side of things, setting it up or maintaining it, let me know. I might be able to help. |

Thank you for responding Looch.
To be fair, from my point of view, hangar 18 material is a right not a bonus, as access was promised as part of the pre-order purchase. However, that aside, I'm pleased to hear that you will continue to add material. Your initial response to my post gave me the impression that the material on line was it; I may have been mistaken but that was honestly the impression you gave. If you had commented that more was to follow etc., then I'm sure the confusion wouldn't have happened. But I found your 4 line response curt and a little defensive. When you said that the video uploads have been available since the release, without mention of further treats in store, then it looked as if that was it, and I'm sure you'll agree the original hype and discussions promised more. Anyway, I'm glad that you will be adding extra material and as I never suggested that it was meant to be weekly or monthly there is no timescale; just the reassurance that it will be done is enough. While I appreciate that like many of us you are busy with work and family, a little communication goes a long way. Re the forum, I'm not particularly convinced of the value, and most in recent years have come to an inglorious end after a relatively short while. However, I still think that if it is promised as part of the sale, then it needs more than a brief "it's cancelled". It's the principle and the customer focus that matters, not the forum itself. Thanks again for responding in more depth; I shall now go back to reading and I await the future uploads with eager anticipation. |

The Black Project is the best book I have read all year. The entertaining routines are excellent, with depth and breadth. Looch has obviously worked them in. The books go well beyond routines and explanation and covers information valuable to all entertainers. Excellent work and thanks for sharing Looch!

After being tempted by Looch at PSYCRETS recent Tabula Mentis - I refused to even look at it .. but the quality lured me in.
I received my copy the other day! Even though there's now 16 pages of egotistical head expanding comments for Looch to re-read on grey day - I felt compelled to further add that the content really is impressive and comes across as 'genuine' Looch. All I can say is 'SAD' now represents Looch's 'Secretive Art of being Diabolical'. It's a phenomenal release. |

Sometimes it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission.
Depends on the wife, I suppose. Tell her it will put money in her pocket.

Another site talking about the book. Nowadays I would ignore other professional mentalist's review, especially if the reviewers also sell product them selves. Praise for each other's work for marketing became common tactics among professional mentalists group nowadays. I would rather see those who are not mentalism seller's review, more reliable for me. |

Really almost nothing substantive in any comments other than attacking looch for the price of the book. No one said that the were books expertly presented and contained years and years of his professional repertoire and thoughts---and some may find it a bargain. I could go on and on but my I'll stick with my initial thought. |

They are reviewing the price really since they have none of them bought or read the books.
A Rolex is less accurate than a £50 Casio so why does it cost so much? Phill

So Looch is the Rolex of mentalism. Going by you criteria of price - Bob Cassidy must be a Casio?

Revenue = price * quantity.
Bob Cassidy's books are priced lower, but quantity is much higher. Looch's books are priced much higher, but quantity is much lower. What am I missing? Kevin |

Price is down to the creator and always will be...
some want to price it low and sell it forever, its the long game... and partly because they want to share it with the wider community... some want to do a limited run and sell it at a higher price, which is a shorter game...and partly because (if they choose to, dunno how Looch has done it), they have the chance to vet the people who buy it... even if you have your own act, and its an established one - you might get a ruse, an idea or a presentational angle that makes something already in your act that much better...or you might find something that you feel suits your act and start including it... what it boils down to though, is whether you perform for money... one gig would cover the cost of Looch's book, that's the bottom line...so what's that in the scheme of things to someone who does that? or what if they have a healthy disposable income and have bought Looch's other work and want more? there are reasons beyond the end of your nose (not aimed at anyone specifically, just in general terms) - the reasons behind someone doing something is purely down to them...everything else is guess work and bias...

I get its not even a gigs money. I personally do gigs regularly that pay more than the price of the book. That being said - I'm not sure why I'd buy it - most of my act comes from classic texts reworked. If this is aimed at the professional - why do they need it? They undoubtedly already have a good act. If amateur - they would be better placed buying £200 worth of classic books and props.

Well, there's no debate here really is there... you've got your opinion and view, and others have different ones... there's no change in that outcome is there?
why do people buy any book or dvd? if you feel you're not going to get anything out of it, then you're not gonna buy it - and that's the end of it, isn't it? but that doesn't mean that view is true or right for everyone else though does it...that's not how opinions and choices work... if you like and enjoy Looch's work, the areas in which he performs, and that you know (via his facebook page or whatever), the quality of clientelle he performs for, the setting in which he works...if you feel its relevant to you - then you can buy his Black Project... if you don't, you don't... isn't it as simple as that? the same argument goes for any mentalism work/release really... everyone has their own line in the sand to work with... that's how I see it anyway...
