Did you get any cool magic tricks for Christmas?
I gave my family my Penguin Magic wishlist.
This is what they gave me:

Sure Shot by Scott Alexander
Fly by Night by Chris Randall
Cups & Balls from Penguin Magic
50 ft. of magician's rope
Pro Flite by Nick Einhorn
Octopalm
Spider thread Mesika
Airborne by Twister

I'm like a pig in mud!

AS Gene Anderson once said to me: "Never wrestle with a pig. The pig likes it, and you both get dirty!!!"

Whatcha gonna do with all that rope? That's a lifetime supply!

I have no idea what the reat of that stuff is! (Ha! Good Latin "construction" --Verb at end of sentence.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I cut up some of the rope for Professor's Nightmare and the rest I'll be using for learning "Fiber Optics by Richard Sanders.
Whenever I practice my rope routines, my cat keeps grabbing it and the rope is all tattered.
I can't get rid of the cat. Smile

I had 2 years of Latin in school. As boring as it was translating "Julius Caesar", it was valuable later on in life.

I also received a set of Cups & Balls. If anyone could briefly recommend a book to assist specifically with developing cup & ball technique and routining, I would be most grateful?
And a set of Richard Osterlind's Annemann DVDs.
And Tenyo - T262- Magic Butterfly.

My woderful wife got me a set of cups and balls from Colin Rose and a matching "Gin & Tonic".
Both are in purpleheart, my favourite timber and both look and feel fantastic.

As an wonderful bonus, Colin and his lovely wife Sharron are really nice people who take the time to make their customers feel like friends.

Treated myself to a parapad after wanting one for ages.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

Got a gift card of which I went and got the Zarrow Shuffle by Gary Plants. Hopefully in my mailbox before New Years! This year I'm focusing on Zarrow along with full in the hands overhand false shuffles (Hunter, Optical, Double Optical).

Santa got me A length of IT.

Not something I have too much experience in. Need to get practising.

I received a lot of nice things but sadly no magic. Maybe it is better that way...now I can justify a purchase for myself. Smile

I think I will explore the world of magic wallets...

I got the Mark Wilson course in magic and four decks of cards! The course is really good at going from the beginning and assuming that I don't know anything which was what I needed.

Penguin were running a New Year's Eve deal so I got one of the "Choose 5 for USD 99" plus six additional free items. As a beginner I'm afraid I've bought far too many things that look exciting but that I will probably not get around to using any time soon; here's to a year of learning!

I bit the bullet and bought myself a wallet (spent more than I ever thought I would on any magic item/utility) and I can't wait! BTW...anyone condsidering exploring this area, MJM has a lot of good deals right now (no affiliation, in fact I am a first time shopper with them).
