Wise reader will get something out of this: http://www.businessinsider.com/signs-of-......n=buffer

My friend visited one very famous local astrologer, and he was very surprised how he was able to "divine" from the planets that he is not sleeping well and have allergies (he have a very noticable bags under his eyes).

This article is great for me, I hope you will find something valuable or new inside as well.

Happy New Year,
Ulrich

Yes, interesting and valuable. But please suggest that clients who have those conditions see a doctor. Some of them are life threatening.

Of course, I'm not a doctor nor psychiatrist, I never make a conclusions, rather I just refer them to specific specialist (cardiovascular doctor, psychiatrist, expert on diet etc.) and I suggest doing that to every reader. If you are good, the clients will have a real faith in what you are saying and will take it as a truth. That's a power you must be careful dealing with.

Which is why I agree with Derren Brown that any kind of psychic reading is an utterly unethical pursuit and should in no way be linked with our wonderful art form.

Billy Connolly is a brilliant Scottish comedian who learned that he likely had Parkinson's disease when he was approached by a doctor in a hotel lobby who told him that his gait suggested that he should see his doctor. Our bodies show signs of health and sickness that knowing and caring observers will note and share.

True: as long as the knowing and caring observer makes sure the person knows the amateur medical diagnosis being offered is based on something you read on an Internet link, rather than a message from a spirit guide, a revelation from tarot cards or something "divined" from the planets.

We wouldn't want people to believe the supernatural had anything to offer when it comes to diagnosing medical conditions would we?

Martin, I see your point, but if they end up going to the doctor and improving their health, it doesn't really matter, does it? They'll keep getting readings, and they'll keep going to doctors, just like they had been all along. I'm speaking only in terms of the bottom line and not in terms of advocating an approach.

I think it does matter. I think it matters very much. What if a psychic reader gives them a clean bill of health when they actually have a life-threatening disease, but they don't seek actual medical advice because they believe in the power of the reader?

Martin, your new "what if" is entirely different than what you originally asked, don't you agree? Sending someone to the doctor versus sending them away from medical care cannot be lumped in the same "what if."

I don't agree. You are advocating conning people into believing that psychic readers can diagnose medical issues. I think that is incredibly irresponsible and dangerous.

Ok, Martin. Go back and read what I wrote. I'm not advocating anything, and you'll see that clearly. Pay special attention to the part where I said, "I'm speaking only in terms of the bottom line and not in terms of advocating an approach." See now? If you change the hypothetical to also change the bottom line, then we're talking about something else entirely.

Sorry Truman. I misunderstood you. I thought you were supporting the idea of using medical information as part of a reading.
