Ok, a while back I saw a friend of mine do this on stage: He had volunteers from the audience offer $10 bills as they joined him on the stage. All of the bills were placed in one envelope.
He had a few other envelopes, sat everyone down. And each person got to choose if the envelope they had could be traded or kept. AFter the envelopes had made a few switches by the spectators' free wills, some were destroyed. The final one that wasn't destroyed contained all of the bills. I know the description is very sketchy but that's my recollection of the trick. What I DO remember is how fun the trick was and how it got the crowd going. I guess that's why it's magic! I don't remember exactly what happened but I remember I had a good time. I would love to add this trick and won't be able to talk to my friend for about another month or so since I only see him at club meetings. Any ideas what this is? |

Sounds like a handling of "Bank Night". I don't know which one this is, but there's a million and one handlings out there. Search on Google for magic and "bank night" and you'll find several different sources for the effect. If the search here on the Café is working, you should check there too.

That trick sounds wonderful. Great audience participation. I will have to look into that.
