Anyone notice that not all Karl Fulves card tricks work out? From Self-Working Card Tricks page 62, trick 41, Fate #2 doesn't fly. Anyone notice any others that fail? Don't get me wrong, I think his books are fantastic. Just the odd glitch.

Fate #2 doesn't work. If you want to know a possible solution, let me know.
for Fate #1, the jacks need to be 7th and 8th from the top |

Tltq...Thank you for the reply mate. Funny that the trick right before Fate #2 got stuffed-up too. Must be dice confusion or something of that nature.
Pretty impressive output from Karl Fulves. Just in the self-working card trick category alone, he managed at least 1 book per decade. All excellent contributions to the field imo. Self-Working Card Tricks (1976) More Self-Working Card Tricks (1984) Self-Working Close-Up Card Magic (1995) My Best Self-Working Card Tricks (2001) 2001 also saw the release of New Self-Working Card Tricks. I'm wondering why this 1 seems to have disappeared so quickly? It was also part of a combined book titled Foolproof Card Tricks for the Amateur Magician (2009). |

Not just Fulves. You gotta go through the material and double-check ANY instruction! It puts the onus on us to be proactive. The Sol Stone book has an error that messed me up. I changed hands and the sleight worked. I just have to remember or take note. BTW, MANY DVD tutorials OFTEN mix up the right hand and left hand!
I think it keeps us on our toes!
