I'll let the song speak for itself.
I think you'll like it... Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson - "Uptown Funk" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPf0YbXqDm0

Perhaps to you. Timeless classics are practically extinct these days. Just business, ya know. Nice tune but pale in the light of folks like Prince and James Brown.

Of course, to me.
I like Prince and James Brown too...

I hate to be the one guy that hates it, but Bruno Mars is the biggest example of wasted talent In the past decade of music.
Reality is a real killjoy.

For whatever my opinion is worth, I suspect that very few 20th-21st century pop songs will have any enduring value. Enjoy them. They are written for the here and now. But most are simple 3-minute ditties designed to make a few bucks.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Watching the video reminded me of that other timeless classic, Gangnam Style. Catchy tune, fun dance moves.

Apparently the social commentary of Gangnam Style is immediately evident to South Koreans. To the rest of us, it's simply a goofy and fun (?) tune.

I knew something didn't feel right, the whole setting seemed inauthentic, and then they gave it away totally with "The New York Herald." Poseurs.
