I'm wondering if anyone here can identify a trick I've just been given from the following description.

There's a piece of 'rope' which is 6 foot in length and made of black knitted or crocheted wool... the black 'rope has white knitted/crocheted ends each about a inch long. It kind of looks like a long thing magic wand. With this 'rope' are two smaller, about 3 inches long, lengths of knitted rope also black with 1 inch white ends. There might be more rope or ropes that go with this trick or it might be complete as is...it was given to me from an old case of magic props and for all I know there are more bits to it

Ring any bells with anyone?

I always associate knitted rope with kids effect so I'll post in that section too.

Thanks in advance.
