Joe M. Turner proved to be a popular voice heard on my podcast in 2013 at the I.B.M. convention in Phoenix. While that was only a relatively short chat, I did receive several positive comments on how much people enjoyed and learned from his comments, suggestions and advice. So, I "went back to the well" so to speak, and conducted a one hour chat with Joe while we were recently together in Jacksonville, Florida for the I.B.M. mid-year meeting.
In this podcast, Joe talks about moving up the ranks within the magic organization and how he became the International President Elect for the I.B.M. But most of you will no doubt be interested in his take on being a "motivational" speaker. Many magicians have considered moving from being "just a magician/mentalist" and breaking into the speaking business. Before you make the leap, you should hear what Joe has to say on the subject. And for those who are finger flingers and want to know more about the memorized deck. Joe actually lectures about how to go about memorizing the stack which some of you will find helpful. You can read the blog, see some photos, listen to the podcast online or download the MP3 file at: http://themagicwordpodcast.com/scottwellsmagic/joe-turner Of course, you can download the podcast through the iTunes store.
