Hello all, just picked up one of the old Hades finger choppers without the instructions. I do know how it operates but if anyone happens to have a copy of the original instructions I would appreciate it. Also, do any of the seasoned folk who are familiar with this have any tips on the best way to set the device for use? I did read the other posts and there was one I felt quite good but the setting still seems awkward, it is possible though that it is my lack of familiarity with the handling more than anything else. This by the way if you are not familiar with this type is far superior to that of the simple metal/now plastic type that are set very quickly. Very solid and convincing to say the least.
thanks in advance |

Do not perform this if you don't know what you doing! You could hurt someone. Take it to a meeting of a magic club and let someone who knows how to use show you how to use it! Please!

Misterbill is correct, this is a very dangerous item.
I have the instructions for the "Improved Mickey Hades Finger Chopper". The instructions give the proper handeling to avoid injury. However this is your first post (even though you have been a member since 2007). I am reluctant to send/reveal them to you. Please PM me. Jerry |

Learn from Meir Yedid's DVD "Finger Fantasies" how to show your hand with a pinky finger missing. Get a fake rubber hand and cut off the pinky finger or make a realistic pinky finger from molding compound. Pretend to insert your pinky finger into the finger chopper, but really insert the fake finger. Chop it off and let the pinky finger fall to the floor. Hold up your hand showing your pinky missing. Pick up the pinky finger and pretend to jam it back on your hand. Flex your "restored" pinky to show that you are all right. Then say: "Next!" No one will volunteer so you will never need to know how to make the finger chopper work.

Hi. I recently purchased a modern Hades Finger Chopper and having read the instructions, I was able to release the blade and understand how it can be manipulated. But I am unsure how to reset it into the original locked position. If someone can provide me with some guidelines or tips or direct me to a video explanation of the workings, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi guys
I remember Hank Moorehouse having developed a 100% safe handling for the Hades Finger Chopper. It is definitely in your best interest to research this information. THIS IS A DANGEROUS TRICK. Julie |

Thanks Julie. I will only do the Hades with my finger in the hole, just in case.

Eric, just for sake of completeness, I suggest you do a Café Search for a description of Hank Moorehouse's handling. It really makes the Hades' Chopper a much better trick performancewise IMO.
(The penetration is much more deceptive because you do not need to put your finger in the hole to safely and quickly set-up.) Julie |

You could play with the concept from Meir Yedid lecture note on the use as a 3rd hand to make some loads in a borrowed bag or hat then producing the hand as a finale..
btw their was a video or lecture showing this concept , but which one ? |
