Hey Josh,
Half a year ago I was in Disney World and I have not seen any magic store. But maybe there is one in just haven't found it. Hope that helps.

Universal Studios has one in the park, they also have shows using the tricks that are sold in the shop.

Josh... When I was at Disney World a few years back, the magic shop was not in the park, but in a Disney shopping center where the Lego Store and Rain Forest restaurant is located. It was a very basic shop... But the bar across the street had some great mojitios.

When I was a kid, there was a magic shop in Disney World but it's not there anymore.
The magic shop in Downtown Disney closed in 2013. I tried to visit it a couple weeks after it closed. I want to say it was a Magic Masters but I think they are all out of business now. |

It was Magic Masters Jason. And, I thought it was actually a cool marketing model, but I guess just not cool enough to last. They had a select number of "boutique" shops across the country, where the visitor was meant to feel like she or he was in a magic library. A very limited number of props were offered, and demonstrated...very well. When purchased, a secret panel would open and the buyer was invited into the backroom for free lessons on how to use the prop.
I never really found anything of interest in the shops (I think I visited three while they were around), but I admired the effort in bringing a classic, intimate magic experience to the masses. If you Google Image Search "Magic Masters Store" several photos of the stores' interiors will pop up. I know there once was a dedicated magic shop located in Disneyland (not Disneyworld), and it gave a lot of young magicians some very fond memories. I believe it is now long-closed, but you can find mention of it in several threads here. Now I think some Disney shops offer magic sections, but sadly, the rest of the magic is gone.

I got bit by the magic bug at the Magic Masters in New Orleans. I got a coin set, Bobo's and Tarbell volume 1.

I'm not surprised Jason. I would have been bitten by that same bug if I went to one of their shops.
And, it looks like you started your exposure to magic in a very nice way...nice purchases!

Are there other good magic shops in the Orlando area? How about Tampa Bay?
Daytona Magic might not be too far away (about a hour by car) |

Thanks Wizard of Oz! They've served me well.
I couldn't find a shop in Orlando. If you find one, please let us know. I'm heading back to Orlando in March. This one is in Cocoa Beach. http://magicdovemagicshop.com/ |

Yes Universal has one. They do a little show then give a little sales pitch.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

There is the Magic Emporium in Tampa is an excellent real magic shop.
Daytona is good, but Harry can be a little too much. Old Town (Orlando) may still have a magic shop, but it is just a tourist trap and a dump. I have been to all three, not Magic Dove. http://themagicemporium.net/ https://www.daytonamagic.com/ http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMEF3......_Florida PS - I did little more research, believe Old Town Magic store is closed, not surprised. PSS - Okay, more research! Now this is happening in Old Town, a new magic shop! https://www.facebook.com/thegreatmagichall?_fb_noscript=1 |

At the Disneyland Paris Resort isn't a magic shop. Maybe one day they'll open one, but for now and since it's opening there wasn't.

I worked the one at Disneyland (CA) and it was fantastic. I had a great time.
The shop is still there but is now run by Houdini's. And how it has changed... |

I came across this site today. It looks like they have a show almost every Monday and it's in close proximity to Disney World.

There was one there back in the 70s, which was the last time I was there.
