Im trying to figure out a way to make a load of candies, etc after I reveal the newspaper is dry.
What is the best way to accomplish this? |

Spellbinder's "Flowers That Bloom With a Spring" from the Wizards' Journal #21-03 shows how to perform Donald Holmes 1909 paper cone load with flowers - just replace the flowers with a bag of candies - or use both, one after the other.

Not very clear, are you saying you make a newspaper cone, then want to pour out a bunch of candles. What size candles, birthday, emergency, or dinner candles? Burning or just a pile of wax candles, or do you want to produce them singly from the cone or maybe on a line, ribbon or string.
Can you please clarify your question, although Tarbell has several load possibilities in the course. |

CANDY - Plural= CANDIES, the kind you eat as a treat - not CANDLES which are things you set on fire for light.
Milk chocolates would be good following the vanish of the milk. Maybe you could sprinkle in some cocoa powder to work the magic and get a load of chocolate kisses.

Jim.. I LIKE IT!!
My first Milk Pitcher routine. Should I have the cone prepared or do something like a have a "double ply" paper already loaded and make the cone in front of them? Im going to have the kid on stage with a raincoat, goggles and rain hat (Silly Billy Style). I already have them on the floor sitting after pouring "Water Works" over their head (directly after I just did pen in bottle - Calen Morelli's). So I felt this milk pitcher would be a good follow up while I have them "waterproofed" and sitting. Just looking to give something out. I like the chocolate kisses idea. Just need to figure out the load since its my first time. |

DON'T EVEN T H I N K ABOUT TOSSING CANDY TO A KID AUDIENCE!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME VERY GOOD LIABILITY INSURANCE<<<<<<<<<<<< XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX I'll tell the story of a magician who did that in a school in Ohio about 25 years ago, in the book. One child had his glasses broken, several kids had clothing torn, There were several bloody noses, and MANY BRUISES. --ALL THAT FOR A LOUSY PIECE OF PENNY CANDY. When I used to do the comedy funnel trick, I would never have the boy DRINK the water, as the old magicians did. If the kid gets sick, YOU could be blamed, (AND SUED!) Can you see the headlines? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Boy gets acute dysentery from magician's trick<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Further, many kids today have allergies. I'm told that peanuts can cause major problems! Parents are too willing to sue! You didn't say what you were planning to do with the candy, but, my "antenna" went UP! and, in the interest of safety, I felt obligated to write this. If you produce candy, and DON'T pass it out, you could be perceived as anything but a nice guy.

Come to think of it, and meaning no offense to the OP, unless you're going to make the candies disappear immediately it's probably not a good idea to produce them in the first place. Even then it's a bit of a tease....... Scenarios like these make me wonder who EVER thought the pinata was a good idea. Let's see.... I know! We'll fill a breakable container with candies and toys, blindfold a kid, give him a bat and tell him to swing wildly until he breaks it. Then when the prizes fall out, we'll watch our precious children practically destroy each other in a mad scramble to get stuff we don't even want them to have. Yep, sounds like a plan. I don't know about you folks, but I've been to parties where I was plucking toddlers out of what was essentially a rugby scrum.
