Just thought I would start a thread on this - looks interesting
http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S19249 An impossible souvenir with two wood coffee stirrers. They can even be signed! Snap off two ends, put them in her hand. The two initialed pieces impossibly melt into a single seamless "wishbone"...which she can keep forever and ever. Be a Star at Starbucks...or wherever you hang out for coffee. Very easy to do Completely self-contained No palming or switches Perform surrounded Refills available "WishBone" souvenir is completely examinable: no seams, lines or glue marks...just a single smooth one-of-a-kind impossible object. COMPLETE WITH WISHBONE GIMMICKS |

Good effect but the wishbone patter is horrible. I'd leave all that crap out and just get them to sign the gimmick.

The video doesn't look like anything magical happened to me. Is there a handling where you can cleanly show the signed sticks to be separate?

I would have to say no. If so then it would be real magic.
I too wonder how many gimmicks come with it. That's pretty crappy that the ad doesn't tell you how many come with it. I would never spend $35.00 on something when you don't know exactly what you are getting.

This seems like it should be a filler trick on a DVD not a stand alone effect. Meh.

Yeah, need a bit more information, $35 is a lot for a one off so I'm hoping it comes with lots of gimmicks. Seems worthy for me as I'm from the Seattle so "blends" well talking about Starbucks.

As the demo shows in the closeup shot, you can turn the sticks over with the gimmick on, right?
the trick is not bad imo. perhaps a full performance with showing the get in and out would be better. just my 5 swiss francs

Very happy to be finally releasing this effect. There are a few different handlings. The demo shows the bare bones super simple handling that I always do. Spectator sees two separate sticks, you make a wishbone shape with both sticks, they sign both sticks, you really break the wooden sticks (gimmick) each time, spectators feel something happen in their hand and they are then left with the impossible souvenir that you see in the trailer. You don't have to palm or switch, ditch anything. There is also a more advanced handling (still pretty simple) where it appears the separate sticks are signed one at a time. There is also an amazing bonus routine you can do with a coffee stick that we did not advertise from my good friend Andrew Gerard. This is an effect we are very proud of and something I carry with me all the time. It really feels like a strange anniversary waltz with an every day object and never fails to get extremely strong reactions. Hope that helps

If Andrew's bonus with the sticks is what I learned from him in an impromptu lecture...I think it was with Morgan Strebler interview...don't remember but this little bonus secret I've been doing for years and it's fun

Are there going to be sets of replacement gimmicks, and if so, how many will be included and how much will they cost?
Or is it 34.95 to do this approximately 40 (or 40 plus, but I'm guessing it's not 40 plus 100 ) times? |
