I mean I love this thing.. Saw the Wizards Review and they loved it so I said what the heck for $5 bucks..
The Mummy by Mr. Magic - Trick http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S18078 This is great and easy to do.. And fun.. So far no one has caught on.. Honestly to me, this is about the same and just as good as those electronic devices(cubes and things. You know what I am talking about) selling for 100's that basically are this same effect.. Sometimes you only need to spend $5 folks..

2 or 3 steel core copper plated pennies for around $10.00
Place a penny on the edge of the other penny and act as if you are balancing it. The spectator will want to try it and it won't work because you are wearing the special something. Not a bad trick for about $10.00 |

Exploding die bomb for about $7.00 Show a regular size die inside of a clear container. Shake the die and now in the container are 8 miniature dice. Although on the video it doesn't show the cap off, you can remove the cap and show it before the regular die turns into 8 miniature dice. |

Any Ball & Vase.
Perform the trick the standard way. While your watchers are relaxed, palm out the feke and perform it one more time with sleight of hand. Stand back and chuckle to yourself while some of the knowledgeable(?) ones try to find the "secret part" they knew about when they were younger. Julie |

A TT (no end to the amount of effects)
My current favorite is having real dimes (10) appear from a rolled up dollar bill. I also like the rabbit and hat silk set from Duane Laflin, used with a TT. Paper cups and rolled up paper, for cups and balls.
After much soul searching about a signature, I decided not to have one.

Hi All,
I'll second Magicthree's Crazy Man's Handcuffs. It's a perfect illusion. I read it in a library book (free)... can't get much cheaper than that Regards, Steve

Another of my very favorites that you hardly ever see anyone perform these days is a neat little plastic apparatus that works along the lines of Color Vision; but it's much more deceptive because it can be done in plain site with one hand and with no covering.
The box is a little six-sided affair with a lid that holds two smaller than 1/2" dice. Spectator puts any numbers on top and covers with the lid. All the performer needs to do is take the box and set it on the table so the spectator can cover it with her hand. That quickly you know the chosen numbers AND the apparatus is 100% examinable! I have two (of course). One is still in the package from Chu's Quality Magic and called Talking Dice. I've seen the same trick in Dollar Store magic sets. I also have a nice brass set, but it involves only one die. I think one reason you don't see this performed very much is that it takes a very LIGHT touch to work properly and this fact isn't mentioned in the instructions. Julie |
