I thought I'd propose something fun.
Simple game, simple rules. You identify the lyrics from the previous post, without googling of course, with the name of the song and the artist or group, then post your own for the next person. It should be an artist or group that identifies themselves as at least largely from the rock genre, say from 1950 and later. At least two lines, but obviously the fewer the better. I'll start with this - "Each if us, a cell of awareness, Imperfect and incomplete. Genetic blends, with uncertain ends. On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet."
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.

Free Will. Rush.
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.--Yeats |

And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise,
And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea. And when your fingers find her, she drowns you in her body, Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind.

That's from a ROCK song?
But if I had to guess, I'd say Van Morrison? |

Not the doors, Slim, and you can't put your lyrics down until someone gets it.
Here's a hint. The album title includes the name of a 19th century British Prime Minister. (Is there a time limit?)

OK here's one of the top of my head:
To pass beyond is what I seek, A fear that I may be to weak, for those are few who've seen it through to glimpse the other side A promised land is waiting Like a maiden that is soon to be a bride |
