Very clever title, but it aint a suit, dammit.

Neither a suit nor a suite Smile

The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.--Yeats

Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers

How about this one?

If music be the food of love
Then laughter is it's queen
And likewise if behind is in front
Then dirt in truth is clean

My bad. I listen to a lot of live/bootleg stuff and I'm not sure if those lyrics were included on any officially released albums.

Here's more lyrics from the same song that should make it easier.

The room was humming harder
as the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
the waiter brought a tray

I got your second quote. It's "A Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum. I don't really recall your first four lines.

Here's mine:

"Now I've drunk a lot of wine and I'm feeling fine
Got to race some cat to bed
Oh is there concrete all around
Or is it in my head?"

All the young dudes. Mott the Hoople.

In my case the concrete is definately in my head. Smile

Here's a tough one.

"Born in the night, she would run like a leopard who freaks at the sight of a mind close beside herself.
And the nearer I came how the country would change, she was using the landscape to hide herself."

I'll be impressed if anyone gets this one.

Hint: the song title is Latin for a popular saying.

I'm surprised how hard this is. Even with well-known songs, it's hard to pick out a small slice of out-of-context lyrics. (I googled the current entry thinking it was something I'd never heard before; I was wrong.)

Yes, indeed. Time does fly, doesn't it?

Technically, time flees.

I could probably post all the lyrics to this one.
Here's a few more of my favorites -

"If you could see all the roads I have traveled,
Towards some unusable last equilibrium."

I'll give one more hint.

The band says their name multiple times, multiple times during the song.

If no one gets it by tonight, I'll post new lyrics tomorrow.
It's hard to pick without making them too hard, or too easy.

I looked it up also. Even though I am very familiar with the band, I would never have gotten this one right. It's not the kind of song that you find yourself singing the lyrics in your head.

Ok, obviously too obscure.

It was Tempus Fugit by Yes.

Here is the best version I've heard. Steve Howe ay his best.

How about this one -

"She keeps a Moet en Chandon,
in a pretty cabinet.
Let them eat cake she said,
just like Marie Antionette.

Easy peasy. Killer Queen by Queen.

How about

I don't need your war machines
I don't need your ghetto scenes
Coloured lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone else's eyes
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
