I don't currently have a tattoo, but I'd considered one of Mickey Mouse holding a fan of cards which would cover both my magic interest and my Disney obsession. I looked into a few parlors and discovered that even a small tattoo, if done with talent, would cost well over $100! I thought if I have THAT kind of money, I'd be better off buying magic books and equipment! So, no tattoo for me!

Socks. Pronounced toe seams ruin my whole day and merino is my material of choice

Ed, I gotta agree with the tattoos. I've seen a LOT amount of bad tattoos. I'm not talking about questions of taste or mispellings (though both bother me) but poorly excecuted work and the use of cheap ink that spreads and smudges under the skin after a few years. Even worse to think abiut is the safety of those cheap inks, or the hygiene procedures of the tattooists using them. If you can't afford quality tattoos, then spend your money on good socks, like Critter.

Patent lawyers? (Cough cough)
I pretty much agree with most food-related "worth paying more for..." items. I have a particular bug up my posterior for good olive oil. But I'm surprised nobody suggested the companion thread yet: what's *not* worth paying more for? I better go do that... |

I currently have two radeon 6850's in Crossfire, 16gb ram and an amd quad core cpu. Also have a decent samsung 22" monitor I'm going to upgrade my vid cards to two MSI 970 GTX and my monitor to a 144mhz BenQ XL2420G with G-sync. I know that the 970's have been taking a beating lately with the misleading adverts that say they have 4 gb of ram when the only have 3.5, but from what I have read, they perform flawlessly. Plus they're a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than the 908 in SLI, but at that price, I'd get a Nvidia Titan X with 12 gb of ram

I've tried it, and it was pretty good, but it was way too time consuming.
