$199 vs $179 (since the $159 is finished). IMO, don't buy now. Wait until they're ready stock at the store near by. Why? Because of Pebble's 'hellish' shipping history. But again, this is only my humble opinion.

Pebble have taken a step backwards in my opinion in terms of looks. The original was pretty ugly and massive, then they introduce the steel which was nice and now they add a colour screen to something that looks like a tamagotchi with a strap. I hope they come up with a steel variation in the future so people who don't want to look like they are wearing achild's watch can get involved.
I really like pebble and the fact that it doesn't try to do everything which comes at the expense of battery power but I think this is a swing and and a miss unfortuantely. I'm still tempted by the apple watch but really not sure I could be bothered to charge it every day. |

Couldn't agree more with Paul's posts.
For performing purposes I actually prefer a watch to be as muted/minimal as possible. I never want attention drawn to it via color changes/movements on the screen or anything like that. Outta sight outta mind IMO is the way to go. |

Your absolutely correct, however we have to remember that we are looking at it from our point of view. The makers of Pebble are interested in selling a smart watch, and have no comprehension as to the needs of a mentalist.

Very true Rasp; although mentalism aside, I still think it's fairly ugly. I susepct it'll be very popular as people like colour screens. I doubt they know why they want a colour screen on their watch; they just do.

Oh of course, the Mentalism needs never drive any product haha. That said, it isn't enough of an upgrade to get the average pebble user excited, I think many of us are just waiting on the iWatch as it represents a true leap forward. That daily charging is going to be a shame though.

I'm personally happy with the pebble steel especially for mentalism as it is very understated and doesn't look tecky.
This one (the new pebble) is going to be a step closer to what the iWatch will be but feel that it won't be quite as good from a technical and functional standpoint plus will have the drawback of potentially highlighting the technological capabilities as far as mentalism is concerned. Best Wishes Michael
As a mentalist you must always ask yourself what if! And throughout your life you should seek to ask and answer this question over and over again, only then will your wildest dreams become a reality!

Apple contacted me recently by email offering developers to get a iWatch before everybody else gets one. I plan (can't guarantee it right now) on having the image displayed in real time on the iwatch ... also the stage version which outputs 3 images to the iwatch that will allow you to do a clue type of effect using 3 cubes. |
