The end is the begin. For those that know.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

The simple answer is yes...
Try this... We'll use the number ten to keep it simple. Picture ten of a well known and not too big object. Soda bottles or cans work well. Picture in your mind ten of them. Easy as pie. Now picture one hundred of them. That is hard to do, unless you line them up in your mind. Take that row of ten that you easily pictured and make ten rows in a grid; that is 10 x 10. Harder, but you probably did it. Most people cannot put two of those ten by ten grids next to each other to imagine two hundred soda cans. Most people will see one and then shift their mind's eye over to the other grid. Two hundred is hard to imagine, but some people can do it. Ten grids would be a thousand. You cannot do it. I doubt Einstein could have either, and he was the master of thinking in pictures. Astronomy was to big to really conceive of the first time a caveman wondered how many stars there were and tried to count.
Magic is like Science,
Both are fun if you do it right! |

When we get to Heaven, or Hell as the case may be and nether God nor the Devil are anywhere to be found, then we can continue the argument as to whether they exist or not.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

If it is "beyond human comprehension", how did the astronomers who are human, comprehend it?
Are they aliens? ( Just joking... :p) Or do you mean beyond the less-intelligent-human's comprehension?

I love astronomy and I love the conversations it engenders.
Anyhow, we magicians love to have our minds blown too, so, go here: http://en.spaceengine.org/ Download it and enjoy. Note that it will NOT work on Intel type graphics cards; you need either NVidia or AMD. It is a simulation of the known universe - and so much more. |

Vlad, I find the download a little confusing. Do I choose download from this site or Mirror 1-6?

Hey, at least I wasn't an illegal alien! (Although nowadays that would probably entitle me to more benefits than being a legal citizen).

If you were illegal and hide out look enough, you get a free pass. They should rename the country "everyone's else's place'

Whatever one considers exists. The act of considering is itself transmittable to others and so can be said to exist.
At what point does not-you become alien? Other approaches include asking questions like: And how would someone who walked into the room and only saw that part of the story/item/consideration consider as likely topic of discussion? Or can insist upon the rightness of a position... Getting directly back to the OP and astronomical findings ... It's amazing how observations combine to support a story consistent with what we know from direct experiment. The story may be comprehensible. To presume such a story could exist which makes sense everywhere we look hides more than one leap of faith.
