Hi all,
Just thought I'd share a great experience my wife had with Michael Myatt and Moonlight Magic this past year. Back in December, my wife surprised me for our 5 year wooden anniversary with a beautiful wand in a custom box. It is made of Indian Rosewood and included Yew Burl and Cocobolo tips (more on that later). As impressed as I was with the craftsmanship of the wand and box, I was even more impressed when my wife told me about the 50 or so emails she and Michael had exchanged over the past year and how great his service was. She told me how Michael had originally designed the wand with Yew Burl tips and sent her pictures of the near-finished product. My wife said she liked the look, but thought I would prefer "redder" tips. Not only did Michael replace the tips with Cocobolo, he included the Yew Burl tips at no extra charge, and even provided some nice mounts to hold the extra tips and spacers in the custom box. My wand is currently dressed with the original Yew Burl tips (per Michael's original vision), but I often switch to Cocobolo from time to time for a completely different look. It's really like getting a 2-in-1. On top of that, when my wife inquired about purchasing a smaller wand my son (who is only 3 right now, but has already taken an interest), he made one with its own carrying bag at no extra charge! My wife is a photographer and took some pictures of the wand last weekend for her blog if anyone is interested in seeing the finished product: http://www.lenawang.com/blog/2015/03/02/wandiversary/ Best, Dennis |

Moonlight Magic did a special project for me last year. It was a purple acrylic wand with three different types of tips and different spacers. I could not have been more pleased with the result, the service and the passion demonstrated for this project!

That wand looks very nice, I don't really have a use for one but they are the sort of thing that's just nice to own.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

I haven't been able to be on the Café much lately, and so, was very much delightfully surprised by this thoughtful post. Thank you very much Dennis! It was a joy to work with Lena on this project, planning and scheming along the way. I really hope you get a lot of good use from the set whilst spreading the magic around. Oh, and, Happy Anniversary to you both!

Michael did an outstanding job for a present we did for very special friend of mine. He did a great wand out of Ebony with silver tips. Yes...he took the trouble to find a jeweler that casted real silver tips for this special wand. It was a thing of beauty.
He has also done a very nice want (not as nice as that one for obvios reasons $$$$) for me. Like mentioned before he is not only a true master when it comes to wands...but a true master in customer service and a great human being! |

Apparently my mileage has varied. It's been a year and a half since I prepaid for a wand, and he stopped responding to my emails in November of 2015. Don't know if he's still in business, but caveat emptor.

Hello to all! "Muckey" has a legitimate complaint. Seems I committed the classic sin of taking in many more projects than I could handle alone, and, hope I haven't smeared too badly, the integrity I began with. The stress was overwhelming and I just walked away from the whole operation for a while, leaving "Mucky", and three other clients "hanging"...not good. As a result, I have ceased taking special orders, but, intend to re-open my web site early 2017 and hope to have a good variety of items posted there.
I have contacted "Mucky", (Mick I believe), offered a full refund, or, his order shipped plus an extra goody. His wand was shipped and should arrive by Friday. My most humble apologies to him, and, the others with whom I intend to rectify their problem. Thanks to all, and, have a happy Thanksgiving! |
