Just found this so I thought I'd share...
Full Overview A world-class prediction effect that you carry on you at all times. The issue with most Apps is that the magic happens on the magicians’ phone. City prediction allows you to borrow a spectators iPhone or iPad, casually set a prediction on Apple Maps, and then create miracles. Here's how it works… You borrow a phone from your audience member, and set a prediction on their phone with Apple maps.... it's placed face-down in their hand. From this moment on, you NEVER touch their phone again. They freely name ANY city in the world. No pre-show work, force or stooge. It can literally be any city, no matter how obscure it is… Without any voice recognition or sleight of hand, the spectator turns over their phone to find a pin placed in the exact city they named. The app store download includes a video guide, and set of notes to take you from 'good magician' to miracle-maker. So easy. Works with any iPhone or iPad with iOS6+ Borrow the *** phone, son. Borrow it. No voice recognition, force, or pre-show work No sleight of hand required Nothing is installed on the spectator's device Perfect for close-up, stage or any casual performance http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/premonition./id918452311?mt=8 |

Been slaying people for a while with this, love combining it with other effects and using time misdirection to really build this up as a finale...
there is a danger that's starting to happen with these kind of "push" effects (handzoff, supathump, city prediction, augure)...People are not layering these and assuming the quickest, most direct approach is enough to fool everyone...it *may* be but with the direction things are going in the technology world in general I REALLY wish people would put more effort into hiding the methods... |

This is great and so easy to use. A lot of thought has gone into making it so simple and polished. I agree that these things need to be layered and most of all, entertaining. It's not what you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.
A tip for anyone buying it is to use something simple like qqq (it only makes sense if you've bought it). |

Guess I will have to wait until the app sells for $2.99 again.
For $2.99 I would have played with it. For $16, that's another story and I am not even sure if I will use it even if the method is clever. I can wait....who knows...maybe an April Fools day special Of course, every one has their own criteria to purchase toys This web site also says to wait: http://applesliced.com/app?n=city-prediction The "applesliced" also says that the price was just changed Feb 22nd about 2 weeks ago. $2.99 to $16 is huge....and the government says their is no inflation Bet they will drop the price when they find sales falls through the floor....who knows.

This is very cheap for what you get. It's great value and could have easily sold for double.

The price should dissuade inquisitive laymen. $30 is about right imo for this and still a bargain. The more I think about this effect, the more I like it.

Let's face it....price is always a function of demand....
It's only been 2 weeks since the price JUMPED from $3 to $16 with no warning to fellow magicians.... so, I guess the developer will wait some more time to see if, and by how much, sales fall. I think I am ranting more because there was no warning of the price increase and the jump was significant. I can be patient.....no big deal either way.

Why do you feel they should have told you in advance....... why did you not simply buy it when you saw it at $3? that's way cheaper than a bottle of good mineral water, I really don't understand your thinking............ are developers not entitled to make a profit from their creativeness and hard work, let alone the money it costs and the risks of it selling or not.

I'm happy to see the price increase. I think almost all magic apps are underpriced for the value they offer.

I agree with Sean, $16 is still a bargain for this kind of app. Maybe the price will increase again if the dev upgrade it with more functions.

Penguin has a $5 download (today only) called Final Destination which is a great way to go into City Prediction.

Great point, j100taylor. City Prediction would be a great final phase after doing Final Destination.

In buying them both, (which now would be $26; 10 for the download and $16 for the app), I have paid a lot more for less. I am not really into technology magic, but these are simple effects that are clear in presentation. |

Maybe once more magicians, if they do, start buying it, maybe the apps developer or seller, or whoever decides the price will up it. For what it does, $16 is a good price. When it was going for $2.99, I knew I shouldn't have waited, but I did. It is a great effect.
