I read through everything and have absolutely no idea what is being discussed here haha. I just hope new magicians don't stumble upon this lest they think we veteran magicians are a bunch of psychos

I don't see what the problem is.
Either a person believes in communication with the dead, or they don't. Why not just say it either way?
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle fooled Houdini and the magicians of course with the magic of advanced technology of the theatre. None of them idiot magicians was able to explain how dinosaurs had been captured on film.
