Hi All
I was sent an EBook earlier this week to look over, this EBook came from Kris Douglas a clever fellow based out in scotland, and I have to say some of the ideas and thoughts included in the content were very clever, Kris has put his mind to a few of the popular plots in magic and mentalism and created simple methods to divine thoughts based around remote viewing, his take on the ACAAN plot plus a few additonal ideas. I know hes giving a few review copies out so feel free to ask KrisDouglas88@gmail.com Alternative: http://www.rusandrews.co.uk/#!store/c24vq All the best R |

Hi Rus,
Thanks for the heads-up on this. I received a copy of "Fragments Of Clarity" and had a chance to read it this evening. As Kris states in his introduction, "I am sure there is not much new here in terms of new principles. My aim in sharing this was purely as a means to share ideas with like-minded individuals." While the principles are not new, I did find some interesting ideas. I especially liked his first routine, "Dicing With Reality." While it is only suitable for a UK audience as written, it can be adapted to other cultures/languages with some thought. The second routine is Kris' version of an impromptu ACAAN. I'm not a big fan of that plot, but I did think it an interesting routine. His third routine, "The Charmer," is a very engaging number divination (although you will need to know how to perform a particular peek). Kris has employed some nice touches to the routine that make it more than just a number divination. Thank you, Kris, for sharing your ideas with me... it was "a new seed" for my own thoughts. Regards, Steve

I agree with Steve - Dicing with Reality is an extremely clever routine that I'm SURE people will actually use. I haven't had the chance to read the rest of the book yet, so I can't say more than that, but I was pretty impressed with the first routine. The bit at the start with the dice was EXTREMELY clever and for anyone looking for the presentational jump from the one theme to the other, I have actually performed this and asked the participant to answer honestly 'Yes or no - was the dice you had in your mind's eye white with black spots?'
Of course it was, and so that forms a nice transition for the participant into the next theme. I asked them to then imagine spinning the dice in their mind and seeing it turn into a football. And then from there into the routine. I paid attention to that bit that tells you what their dice rolls were, and use the score to subtly help me decide if I can add the original number to the reveal (there are only two options for each, and so this proves pretty easy). Overall, I have to say that I'm quite taken with the first effect in the book. I don't know what he is charging for this, but if the price is reasonable, you'll definitely use the Dicing with Reality routine (if you live in the UK), so it might very well be worth your time. Well done Kris! Best, Atlas |

Kris Douglas Review:
Pages : 33 Effects : 4 Dices with reality : I like the idea, I like the routine, I can't say too much about it, you need to read more than 1 time, and study it, because it worth it the price of the E-book alone! For me : 8/10 This is very good ! The ACAAN : It's a 99% Hands Off ACAAN, and I find it beautiful, direct, to the point, and so easy to do ! 8/10 too ! The Charmer: Good subleties, nice thinking, I like it! 7/10 Childs Play Cold Reading. A very fast way to remember the stock lines! Again, nice! 8/10 Overall, I like this project, Mr Douglas seems a very interesting person, I wish him the best in the future, and good luck and keep the good work. I recommend this project.

I got this about a week ago and finally got chance to read it last night and I've got to say that I am impressed. It is quite a small eBook at only 33 pages but it is straight to the point, clearly explained with no bs or filler.
For £6.99 you get four very good routines/principles that are all usable and also have great potential to build on too. At less than £1.50 per idea or routine you really can't go far wrong. Dicing with reality: Brings together several ideas to create a very strong and direct piece of mind reading which Kris bases around football in the example routine (that's soccer for my friends across the pond). It allows you to reveal at least two thoughts without having anything written down and no fishing. Though Kris uses English football teams for the example the principle can be applied to many different categories and things. Which is good because if it had been limited just to football teams then I wouldn't use it, simply because I don't like football. However, I will most likely use the principle to reveal thought of cocktails or similar. The ACAAN: I have never bothered to learn an ACAAN and the only one I know uses a special deck, so I can't really compare it to others. I like the fact that this is virtually hands off and can be done impromptu with a borrowed deck. It doesn't seem particularly difficult and I'm looking forward to learning, practising and taking this one for a spin. The Charmer: This is a fantastic routine that gives you the opportunity to read a mind and get a girls number while you are at it. I am in a 10 year relationship with four kids so would never be able to use it myself but if you're looking for a way to get girls numbers and break the ice with your talents then look no further. I can also see Michael Murray's Zero to Ninety complementing this extremely well. Thankfully Kris also offers an alternative routine for people like myself that wouldn't use it as is. This is also very good, both routines solve a problem with a particular peek method and also give the opportunity to deliver an engaging and entertaining piece of mind reading. Child play cold reading: This is great! It is a very simple and clever way of memorising the basic stock readings/Barnum statements in cold reading. Though I know what the stocks phrases are, I had never bothered to memorise them. I literally read through this once and now know them. It really is child's play! All is all I think fragmented thoughts is great value for money and worth getting if strong and direct mind reading is your thing. |

Hi All,
Kris has updated his "DIcing With Reality" effect, providing a routine that is not just UK-based and explains how you can develop routines of your own as well. If you were reluctant to get this ebook because you felt that you wouldn't be able to perform Dicing With Reality, fear no more... you can adapt it to your own needs with just a little thought. Hi magicgerry06,
I'm not sure what you mean by "Wrong!" Kris provides an additional routine in the updated version that can be used in the U.S. and other English-speaking environs. I don't know about adapting it to other languages, if that is what you mean. Regards, Steve

Hi Steve,

Hi all,
It seems apt that my first contribution is regarding my own effect. Firstly thank you all for the very kind reviews. For a first Ebook it has done very well, especially it seems in the states. My Ebook is available directly from myself and also from Merchant of Magic and Rusandrews.co.uk. In retort to the questions regarding the effect Dicing with Reality the performance given as an example was on English football teams. The principle and method though can be used for any category you can think of. You can use it for corporate, sports, cocktails, the list is endless. I think in the first edition I wrote I didn't clarify this enough. I have remedied this in the revised copy. It will work in any country and for any situation you wish to plan for. As for other languages, as magicgerry06 stated, in principle I cannot see why it cannot work in any language but I do not speak any other language other than English so I cant really push that point. Without disclosing the method if the language contains letters it should work. If not then I will revise the effect and make that clear. If you could please pm me magicgerry06 regarding this I would be very grateful. I would also like to make sure you have the revised copy also magicgerry06 so I look forward to chatting with you and clear this up. Many thanks Kris |

Hi all,
After reading your email magicgerry06 I see now you are 100% correct in regard to it not working in other languages. I will start working immediately on trying to resolve this. I had not taken into account other languages when I wrote this to be honest. So now to clarify, this will only work for the English language. I will update the Ebook to reflect this. Many thanks magicgerry06 for pointing that out. I would hate to mislead anyone. Kris |
