Thought I'd let you guys know about a great case I found at Home Depot. It's also at Lowe's for $19.99. Just go to the tool area of Home Depot. Look for where they keep the tool boxes and organizers. You will see what looks like an attache case but deeper that is stainless in style. This is only 19.99.
What is great about it is it's padded inside and you can position the separator's anyway you like for whatever you might carry. I also attached with spray adhesive a close-up mat on top. Great for practice or walk around. |

Totally agree with you RandyM. I've had one for years and they are great. Interestingly, I paid same price years ago.

Yep, that's exactly what I did, lol. Except I bought one of those 15 dollar plastic ones. Ill probably go get one of those since they are padded inside. Thanks.

Home Depot is where I got mine. I used spray adhesive to attach side pockets and foam padding.

I bought one of those cases and they are very sharp looking and excellent to carry your props in. With moveable walls, you can fit anything in there. It also comes with that inner, leather part that comes out which has some pockets. They make you look like a pro. (and a millionaire:-P).

I used to use exactly what you are talking about. The dividers are quite weak and things still slop around inside the case.
I gladly gave it up for a leather doctor's bag.

For kid shows I have found the case to be very useful and when set on a stand it becomes just what I need.

I also use this case mostly for a mentalism show that fits perfectly, inside then I just set it on a bar stool (thanks Dan Harlan).
Here is a great way to get attention when you walk into the venue. Attach a handcuff to your wrist, then one to the handle of the case. It will really make people wonder(just don't lose the key, teehee).

I recently purchased a large, black, plastic, tool box at Home Depot. I was able to fit a substantial amount in it. Although I did not put in dividers, by packing carefully and wrapping certain items in the table cloths I use, it works very nicely.

Great idea macmagic!! I tried the handcuff thing, and boy! Talk about an entrance!! I felt like some rich guy carrying a attache filled with diamonds!
Randy, that is a great idea with gluing the close up mat onto the case. For some reason I had never thought about it (guess that's because my briefcase is rounded). Thanks for the tips!

I bought one of these cases a few years ago to keep my ShowTech and wireless microphone equipment. It provides great protection.
