Brad Henderson is quite well known on The Magic Café as well as many other forums as a frequent "poster". He gives a lot of thought to magic and to performing. He is one of the more passionate magicians I know. And when I say "passionate", I mean that he loves magic and all the arcana that surrounds it. He is also known as the curator of Richard Garriott's magic collection, but we will save that discussion until next week's "Part Two, Tales from the Mansion".

In this first part of our chat, Brad talks about why magic should be considered as an art and why we should endeavor to make every one of our performance into an artistic experience for our audience. He gives some examples along the way that bring into focus the abstract thoughts. This is more of a mini-lecture that should be required listening for those new to magic as well as those who have been into magic for years. Perhaps you'll get a new perspective on your own magic.

You can read the blog, see some photos, listen online to the podcast or download the MP3 file a: http://scott-wells-kdb1.squarespace.com/......part-one You can also listen through iTunes, Stitcher, TuneIn and FeedPress.
