I'm in one of these newly opened outlets now in my country and...

It serves alcoholic drinks with the food!

We have our clubs, pubs and TGIFs but this is the ONLY establishment that looks like a "family" fast food chain but serves drinks here! The people here are the more "conservative" types in this Muslim country of mine... Smile

I'm having the Long Island just because it looks like Ice Tea! I ordered it "strong"... Smile

I feel so sneaky and tipsy!

You don't get to do this here often. Smile

I travel extensively (by that I mean a different city each week, average 4 flights a week). Johnny Rockets are in many airports. I don't know if they have a different quality of food when contained in airports, but I have never been impressed with them. But I am happy to hear you have a new favorite place to go!

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

I enjoy them periodically in malls and casinos. My drink of preference is their shakes.

I have never gotten good service from them, decent food, but the place is always understaffed and the food takes forever. Shakes are good, I agree.

I think a few of us are missing Pakar's point. He's pleased to be able to drink alcohol in a restaurant in Malaysia. It happens to be Johnny Rocket. But the point of the OP is the booze, not the burger.

He's in Malaysia. It's a treat to have one at all!

Magnus, alcoholic beverages are readily available in Malaysia at restaurants and elsewhere. I think (Pakar can clarify) that his point was the availability of alcohol in a fast food, "family" oriented restaurant where many Muslims may visit and some may be offended.

Indeed. I was simplifying. The point is that the burgers are not the issue.

We had two in the area.
One closed--perhaps the other one has, too.

When I ate there, I went for the decadent combination of the "Chili Side" burger and the fries & rings mix.

My stomach can't take that any more. It's one of the few signs of getting old(er) that I have begun to notice.

Yes, exactly... I felt so "sneaky". Smile

We have two Johnny Rocket's here in Providence. Neither one sells alcohol which is fine with me as I don't drink for the most part. I've eaten in each one. They're "OK," but I don't believe they're worth the price.
