I just got this and I am absolutely delighted with it.
I have been performing the Linking Finger Rings close-up for years, using a not dissimilar approach to Paul's. Not surprising really, since we were both inspired by the Karrell Fox routine in (I think) his first book published by Supreme (that dates me). Nevertheless - Paul's thinking and handling are gold dust for me. His linking/unlinking moves are far superior to the more straight-ahead approach I was using. I've gained (and learned) a lot from this purchase. I dislike the rings supplied - not because they don't work or are shoddy - just aesthetically they're not to my taste. As a man of a certain age black rings do not suit me! But it's no problem getting a pair of medium-priced rings and superglue one so it is 'normal'. I got a nice pair of HRs - similar in style to those Paul supplies with Merge, but gold in colour - in the UK for £24 each. I was going to get signet rings, but Paul covers the issue of motivating the use of your ring in great detail, and makes a great case for the style of ring he supplies. And if you grow to love the effect for close-up use, you can then invest in a pair of David Regal rings or similar. One thing we're not starved of is the selection of HRs on the market! Much has been said here about Paul's communication and helpful service, but I have bought a lot of his stuff and can attest to this - he loves discussing his material and is keen to put you on the right path. The asking price still astonishes me: it's the VFM buy of the year. Now, don't you DARE start posting about "the too-perfect principle" applied to this effect. (If ever there was a candidate to support that 'principle' though it's the linking finger rings!) |

Just got it and watched the video! A spontanous idea I had while watching: why not do "Latch by Geraint Clarke" with it...?! Throwing both rings and they link in midair...

Thank you Bob for the kind words. I am looking at getting rings made in gold for my handling. They will be much more expensive of course but need to have that large gap. Just finding the right person to make them is proving a little difficult.
Regards Paul

More and more I practice MERGE, more and more I like it. The handling is just super. I believe this will be one of my best purchases this year, especially for the price!
Looking forward to hearing about the golden rings Paul! RNK

Any chance of the rings being made in a larger size?

I do a finger ring routine all the time and sometimes struggle to get even one large ring. I still think it's a great routine though. |

I have to say that since I have merge I was wondering not to make fast and rare moves to unlink rings. In a few days I will upload to youtube my version of Merge. I think is the clearest Himber ring routine with Merge Rings. It's in spanish but you will see the handling perfectly.
But thanks to you Paul, because you allowed me to take this wonderful routine again. |

I really like this routine. However, the rings supplied are not quality. I received a set that didn't work. I sent it back and then received a new set that is arguably worse. I do like the handling & explanation though.

Update: with some needle-nose plier adjustments, the gimmick will work.

The gimmick ring looks hideous.
