I have found that a lot of the effects I learn involve the use of currency from the USA, whether it be in the form of coins or bills. Is there an easy way to get hold of these?

Try to modify the routines using your currency (pounds I suppose) or go to the bank for bills, but you have to change a big amount of money I think... I mean you have to change almost $100 for example), or some shops for bills and coin collectors (dunno the English term, sorry)

Just go to your bank and request the coins and bills you want - If they can't get it they can tell you where to get them and it'll cost you pretty much what the exchange rate is that day - They'll charge you some kind of "convenience fee" but it shouldn't be very much

Notes you can get from the bank.. try ebay for some of the coins...
But try to adapt to British as much as possible, although the half dollar is a very visual and nice looking coin.. I get mine from my dad in the US .. maybe I should get him to send me some over and start selling them..lol |

You can get away with the £2 coin on some routines. Failing that, go to your favourite magic store and they should stock them.
If you want proper silver halves, it is normally a case of visiting a coin dealer. I belive there is a magic convention in Blackpool soon, so you will almost certainly find something there. |
