See me in 50 years, smart guy. In the meantime, while you're wringing your hands and muttering "Woe is me!" I'm gonna enjoy myself.

What will happen is the dude will be all like: So I want to do that thing! So The dude will. All the good people will get sucked into heaven, their souls I mean, their bodies will remain here. This will be where the zombies come from. I have spoken!
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

I don't think that humanity is likely to destroy itself over the next century, but I think that the most likely scenario for that to happen is through AI risk in its various permutations. So I guess that puts me in the "science" camp.

Well, I did already apologize.
But, also, I'm not sure that "Science, industry, greed and weak governance" 'implicity' refers to AGW. But thank you for pointing out that's what you intended. |

A comet is a pretty reasonable guess since it apparently happened once before. Apparently the good Lord said there would not be another flood so me may end it all with fire, locust, or fissures in the Earth's crust swallowing us all up.

But we cannot continue to foul our nest as we are currently doing.

I try to avoid discussions of anthropogenic global warming because both sides often seem impervious to serious argument. (That generalization is not directed to anyone here, however.). I'll just observe that iny experience, most people who impute scientific ignorance to those who question climate catastrophism prove themselves to be extremely ignorant of climate science.
