At my party yesterday, "Let it Go" from "Frozen" started playing whilst I was making balloons (my playlist was on "shuffle").
As soon as it started, one of the kids said: "Oh, no! I bet you're going to sing this!" "Why? Do you want me to sing it?" "No, it's rubbish! "Frozen" is rubbish!" came the reply. All the kids agreed. Methinks the endless spate of "Frozen" parties has worn thin....... |

Everything runs in cycles, so it's hard to say exactly when a fad is officially over.
Having worked a few "Frozen" parties myself, I made sure I saw the movie (not in the cinema, though) so I was familiar with all the characters and songs so I could talk intelligently about the show. Gerry |

I've noticed a decline in the popularity as well. However, I must have made 10 Olaf balloons yesterday.

I have a teen music enrichment group weekly and find some kids can play the same songs and others want to move on quickly.
The kids are playing instruments not just listening. Knowing your present audience and ability to adapt to set routines ---priceless. Harris

It seems Disney really went overboard on this one. They are even changing one of the most popular attractions at Epcot -- the Norway Maelstrom ride -- into a Frozen attraction. I thought it was way too soon to label this one a "classic", so perhaps it's gonna backfire on them. Of course, Frozen 2 will be coming out, so maybe it'll revive.

"Let It Go" is crazy popular here because it was written by American-Filipino songwriter. I am so sick of the Frozen parties ha ha. But on the bright side - they finally quit playing Gangnam Style... |

Over the last few weeks I have done dozens and dozens of Ilsa (?) princess figures and Ilsa (?) snow wands whilst twisting balloons. Musta done at least a dozen yesterday at a two hour street fair. And more than a few at a high school after-prom event from 12:30-3:30A the night (morning?) before. When I reload my apron, its always the white, blue, and blush pockets that are lowest. Gone through more than a few white geo's for Olaf too. Loads of chats with the parents about how often their little girl has watched the movie and ancilliary merchandising. Dinnae see any drop in popularity here in the mid-Atlantic.

Depends on the age group. 4-6 year olds still LOVE frozen, especially the girls. 8-10 year boy LOVE to hate Frozen!
Frozen is far from dead, but I doubt Frozen 2 will be as big. Who knows! |

Yuck. Or when Johnny Depp animatronic mannequins were installed all over the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, which really didn't fit the look of the classic characters in place since 1967. It's enough to make you suspect that Disney Inc. may be somewhat motivated by marketing tie-ins.

I can't fault them too much because they are, after all, in business to make money. But lately it seems that the Gen-Xers and Millenials took over Disney and think the whole world started in 1995. They only have the Nemo ride at Disneyand (California, not at WDW Orlando) and frankly I think they did a pretty good job of it. |

The Maelstrom ride hasn't had a line outside in years and the submarine ride is vastly improved with the addition of Nemo! Over at Universal the Simpsons replaced Back to the Future and revived interest in that section of the park. Things have to move with the times. As for kids being sick of Frozen, it is more likely that they are sick of unimaginative kids entertainers who have tried to cash in on the fad. The film is as popular as ever it was.

I did and do. I went to the Café, Anonymous Anonymous and Hokey Pokey Anonymous for help Cause that's what it is all about. Harris , looking for a good game of freeze tag - an improvisational - theatre game. "If we can't laugh at ourselves, others will beat us to it."
