First, thanks for the comments about Panagram. It's a good tool, though as Doug points out, there ARE other issues to consider when constructing a progressive anagram. What Panagram does at leas to help you here is that it will generate alternatives for you. The free software out there won't do this. Also the free software can only handle quite short lists.

Here's something I can offer, though: if enough people want a particular feature, and can clearly define what they want to achieve, AND if it's practical (for me!), I'll do my best to code it. Of course, any new version I might write will be a free download to existing purchasers of Panagram!

So give me some ideas, and I'll see what I can do for you!

Cheers,

Jamie.

While not strictly a progressive anagram in the sense discussed here, if the overall effect achieved with a Progressive Anagram is what you like (i.e., done well it looks like direct mindreading), I would recommend you check out Jamie and Colin Miller's Sensory Perception available from here:

Jamie,

That sounds great!

I must say that Panagram is the basis of half of my work now. Obviously, when you purchase Panagram your are not paying for a trick but for a working tool. But maybe, beside the specific upgrades to the software, you might consider to upgrade the manuscript, too, adding performance hints and presentation subtleties. I guess that could improve your product a lot, making it more complete. Just a suggestion.

Cheers!

By the way, I just saw on TV a toy called 20Q. It’s a ball that “reads” your mind. The news guy was demonstrating the thing, and I seem to like it. It uses some principle similar to PA. Someone knows more about it?
