And what should she wear, a dress or a Body suit? The assistant I might be having is new and shy with stage fright, but I'm sure she'll do good. Any advice is appreciated. Don

Call a local dance studio and perhaps they'll have an idea where you can buy something locally.
Also, depending on your act, you can get things from Frederick's of Hollywood or Vicki's Secret. Wouldn't opt that way for kid's shows, but they have some nice things that can be worn anywear really. My wife has a lot of nice clothes from Frederick's that aren't sleazy or too revealing. Last but not least, never forget the net. Search for body suits or leotards and you'll probably have too many hits to check them all! Hope this gives you an idea or two. Richard

Classy is always the way to go.
And, BTW, Vanna White is known for wearing a different well tailored designer dress every episode. |

Dance supply stores - online or brick & mortar.

I would try Victorias Secret, located in any mall.

It depends on what she is doing. I saw a magic show the other day, and the famale assistant has three or four costume changes. For carrying props, and in the illusion of the mis-made girl, she wore a pretty dress that was simple. Later in the show, she did amore rigerous illusion, that had her in a body stocking type leotard. For two later illusions, she dressed in a dress from the midevil time period, and lastly a black leather outfit.
Donster, this comes down to where you live. In the Los Angeles Area, where I am, due to hollywood being here, there are many professional costume shops where you can rent anything you can imagine, in many sizes for a good price. Depending on where you live, you may have to go mail order.
